My 2 cents:

I've taken a good look, and I'm overall pleased with what they've done so far. I'm sightly annoyed they've taken out CC's but they made some charaters unbalanced (Leona). It seems that they are trying to restore credebility by releasing this, after XII tanked so badly. Ah well. They seem to have decimated my main (Kensou), and the tactics that I used for him. The only thing that I'm wondering is who is gonna be the final AOF charater, as Takuma is supposed to be out of commision.... Impressed, still....

Hey Guys,

I just go the SF4 Fightpad fo the 360 so I coul use it on the PC. However, there is a problem with the buttons that represent the left and right triggers. the thing is, the buttons do not work as I would like as they are shown as Z Axis triggers , depending on how hard they are pressed. Whereas I want them to work like mornal buttons. Does anyone know how to change them so that they work as buttons rather than as triggers.

Also, Dr House, Have you never heard of the phrase "never speak ill of the dead"? Whatever your opinions, there are those out there who love the guy (including me, even if I think he is naive) and that comment is disrespectful of them and mre importantly, his family, which is never cool.

I was reading and thought that I should say my two bits.

Fighter Factory is a great program, for those who are prepared to put lots of hours in. However, there are those who simply like MUGEN and want to simply play, but when they are interested in making a character, can lose interest simply because there is not enough user-friendly text out there for those people who want to try but have lots of things to do. So:

1: Will there be a viable "wizard" which can help people new to serious coding to get them into making their own MUGEN stuff?

I ask because what I do see is lots of improvements to give a possible scope for creating and testing for those who are used to creating characters and the like, but not much (from what I've read) has been taken into account for those in that demographic, as well as those who want to learn the program without going through acres to text just to find out how to edit the timing of a move. I understand that because of the CNS, that not be viable, but I thought that question would be worth asking.

2: Will FFU have functions to program stages, lifebars, etc?

There are not many programs that are out there that allow a user to create stages, lifebars, etc, easily. I have heard that these are easier to create, but I have never confirmed that theory. Anyways, since there are so many ways into MUGEN, it may be a good idea to include that into the program (if not too difficult). Putting this demographic into FFU could make it the "be all and end all" program for MUGEN creators, and it would add serious versatility into the creations, therefore allowing more people to get into MUGEN, with a user-friendly program with lots of depth, much like Photoshop is with artists, for example.

Well, I just thought those up for your consideration, hope you look into them.
    

The King of Fighters XII

I played it today, in the arcade that I normally go to. KOF XII is a lot slower compared to the other KOF's in the series, But it is a lot flashier. The changes in the charaters are immense, Sie and the Ikari warriors playing completely diferent from thier usual selves. Sie is ploblably the most combo-centric charater in the game, with Iori now a very close second. What is the most supprising about KOF XII is the charaters use far less comboable, instead leaving it mostly to the "Critical Counter" system to perform juggles and combos. They really have pared it back on most charaters, Joe especailly. I did not get to any sort of Boss, as I ws playing the Time Trual system, which I believe is some sort of enhanced practice mode, where you fight the opponents as normal, but can choose to fight them again should you wish to do that. My team currently is Terry, Kensou and Iori, as they balance out quite well sa a team. The only thing that I hated was the effects. playing with them is actually quite distracting, and I find most are just ugly (I'm looking @ you, Ralf Jones!) Overall, a very good game, but nowhere near the standard set by SF4

Just tested him. Fucking heck, you made him into a beast. Battered me, So i took him into watch mode. Even beat Waru's G. Rugal. DAMN! Good Chara, Easy to use, Hard to master.
