Grats to Chrisis again for making top 8 at Devastation. Justin Wong took 1st place.

Thank you very much! <3

Though I choked in top 8, did better against those guys when playing casually, they have nerves of steal that I just don't have quite yet. >.<

I played Daigo at NCR in money matches and my third fight against him was one hit of chip damage away from being a perfect against him (I think I blocked an air play or something.). He's nowhere near as good as F-champ, Tin, or Justin.

That said he's far from free either and has some very clean Dante/Wolvie stuff. He has among the most optimized Dante combos I've seen. Though Dacidbro's Dante is still better.

Grrr, sent F-champ to losers brackets at a recent starbase tourney then fail flailed against him in Grandfinals. X_X

Woo! Took tied third in a team tourney here in norcal! My team lost to the team of F-champ Crizzle and Ricky Ortiz --; I actually managed to win more casuals than I lost against Crizzle though! :D

People are sleeping on Viper, she's the best character in the game.

I use Taskmaster on my current team and the general combos I go for without assists are:

With X-factor: 2B, 5C KFC, 2B, 2C, 6C, 5B, 5C \-/, 5B (2 hits), 5C, 6C, 5B, 5C \-/, 5B (2 hits), 5C, 5S /-\ 5B, 5B, 5C, 6C, 5B, 5C, 5S \-/ 2369BC around 1,200,000 damage

Without: 2B, 2C, 6C, 5B, 5C \-/, 5B (2 hits), 5C, 6C, 5B, 5C \-/, 5B (2 hits), 5C, 5S /-\ 5B, 5B, 5C, 6C, 5B, 5C, 5S \-/ 2369BC 700K pre-DHC into character with super that hits OTG like my main Viper. >.>;

A great thing about Taskmaster is he doesn't need wall bounces or OTGs to do big damage so you can have assists like the pipe, armor piercer, etc and they just set up your combos instead of making you remove wall bounce sections like other characters.

Also Taskmaster's assists do far too much damage, 3 horizontal assists from him and a couple of jabs kill Phoenix --;

You need the word "Random" in there relating to button mashing, proper mashing is incredibly important to the versus series. Being able to: Double your damage output on chipping mega optic blast, get out of hyper-grav tempest, gain the maximum yield out of hail storm, juggernaut headcrush etc is incredibly important and not being able to mash out of hypergrav tempest does make you bad.

Played at a friend's house the other evening, damage feels too bloody high in relation to Marvel 2.

I'd played once or twice before at events, but learning how to do semi-big damage (half life to full life combos depending on gauge and character.) was ridiculously easy. Something like Dante, Sentinel, Zero, and a few others I was able to get down something to kill someone on my first day of actual play and that bloody sucks.

Magneto and Iron-Man were fun to play but I only was doing like half life damage unless I had full gauge. Then again  first day combos shouldn't even be doing that much so it's worrisome. X_X

Omega Red is amazing in MvC2, and access to real assists gives him far more versatility than in MSFvSF. However people of even greater power and versatility have been added to make how amazing he is feel muted.

Multiple things:

No, MSH v SF was not more balanced it was less broken. The top tier such as Wolverine and Omega were heads and tails above the mid tier, but everyone lost access to their silly XvSF flying screen mechanics.

As for the video LOL at Seth Killian talking about MSP and then the scrubby video was showing Psylocke using the projectile type assist instead of AAA. XD

I took top 8 in a MvC3 tourney by Gamespot or something like that, they gave out the waste of flesh shirt and some other stuff and the game will get mailed to me, score! :D

Zooming and stage size effects game play however, it was apparent with Storm as well. When approaching a flying Sentinel in MvC2 very few characters had effective tools for it, the massive nerf to where his normals control means that the range which you can be on roughly his horizontal plane and doing things is a greater percentage of the screen.

IE previously with Sentinel you could super jump then fish with SJ.short, this covered such a large amount of the screen that regardless of whether you were mid screen or next to them they would need to block if they intended to super jump then approach from the air, on hit you could fast fly short + assist fierce xx rocket punch. Not having that large zone of control is a major detriment. :(

Also with the current push block that makes stomping strings much different, however the inability to pushblock assists may make it closer to okay. Without his normals range this is disastrous.

His normals also are much smaller than they used to be, look at frying pan in 3 then look at it in 2. >.<

In every video of Hsien ko they show her pretty much doing 1 combo again and again:

Magic series, sweep, exchange, air magic series, exchange, weight drop. Though to note this combo does kill Dark phoenix from over 90% health.

Rest in Peace Sentinel normals, you will be missed! :((

Wow, I really like that Hsien Ko art for some reason, Sent looks pretty ridiculous however.

Note the as Sentinel uses it, being able to make all normals safe in the air in a frame is not something I've currently seen evidence of in Marvel 3. Links please? o.o

Capcom will likely never allow unfly in the form Sentinel utilizes it in anything ever again.

The way they dealt with flight mode in MvC2 for Sentinel can't possibly look good in 3D. It didn't even look half believable in 2D. They need to add more frames which will be sad since I love playing Sentinel! D:
