What I ment by having April (apart from the actual statement) was that there isn't any females in the roster. Given TMNT didn't have alot of female baddies the only other character I could think of would be the Lotus. And she was a fighter, and kicked shedders butt too! (just an idea)

Hope things are coming along for the game, would like to know more about this screenpack you've mentioned  :beam: and just any general info or updates that might be happening. ( :2thumbsup: i'm slowly slowly working on some more usagi sprites, i'll post when i've got some good stuff)

Seems to me like the roster is a bit large. You have 27 characters. IMO, there are about 7 characters I think the game could do without. Work on a core main roster frist them maybe think about doing 'secrect''unlockable' characters.

+ I think you need to include April.

I actually liked the black lines better too, but at this stage everythings open for change. As has been the case before, HKP will continue to evolve.  :P He's looking rather good at this point, you'll just have to trust me.

Okay, I got some alternate costume ideas for HKP:

Ken from the Street Fighter game series
Liu Kang and Raiden from the Mortal Kombat game series
Samurai Jack of the same show title
Shang from Mulan
and Son Goku from DragonBall Z

He'll also have his own alternate costumes based off of the show and commercials:
Phony Phooey costume from HKP vs. HKP
The kimono from the Ayayay Scream Bottles fake commercial
Black formal kimono from the Cartoon Network Night Club bumper
Penry Pooch Janitor costume
HKP's Laff-A-Lympics Team Scooby Jersey
and the costume from the Hong Kong Phooey webisode

I hope these are at least helpful for the alternate costume ideas.

True. I'm working on it.  :) (my understanding is that this is done towards the end, or at least with a fully sprited character? So much i'm doing myself, lots of work. I try and just do HKP sprites, as those are the most important things, but I end up doing a little of this and a little of that. 8) ) It's all one big WIP.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, but RL has been keeping me busy. Work has progressed with HKP so here is an update with a few screenshots:


1. I've decided to do a stage. :D It's still rough, alot of it is still in the early stages, but you can get an idea about it.

2. Most of his basic animations are done, i've just started working on his gethit states.

3. You may recognise some of the characters in the BG. Some will be animated.

4. I'll post a more detailed post about his special moves. There have been some developments here too! ;)

I did want my next update to have a video link but haven't had time to sort that out and do a good one. Maybe next time.

 :) Hey MFG,

I think this is in the right room??? Anyways, I'd like to ask if anyone can give me some tips or point me in the right direction to make a video of my mugen. More specifically I would like to get a vid up of my current wip (HKP) and so far all my attempts haven't worked.

The videos are all laggy. :( I'm not sure if I have the recording settings correct or what. I've tried several times with the same result. Currenty I am using a programe called Debut Video Capture. Anyone heard of it? Is it a good one to use?

I just think it would be easyer for me to show progress in vid form from now on as my wip is moving along nicely and nearly all the basics are done. It's why the thread hasn't been updated in a few weeks.  :P

Also, does this mean I have to sign up for Youtube? --; hmmmph.

@ Saikoro - I find your apparent obsession with portrait work and colorloss to be just over the scale of awesomeness. It's an area that doesn't seem to get covered in mugen as much as other things do (chars,stages ect.) I likes.  :sugoi:

Well HKP is a Kung Fu character, so I was thinking more along the lines of just having a cool looking picture of him doing a chop or kick, but something a little more 'serious' than he normally is. Not something particular to any 1 move.
