Miaoyu decided it was time to release his long held cooler. But i was met with a conflict.
Gladiacloud released his cooler just before I was about to release this.

I DONT like DUPLICATES.....so i had to find a way to justify two coolers on mugendream.
I was going to do final form cooler sprites  but this suggestion by Quack made more sense.
You know, if it's too much of a hassle to sprite pseudo-Final Form Cooler then you could just make the other Cooler Meta Cooler. I mean he's pretty much just a recolour right?

Indeed. So thats exactly what I did. Since  Gladiaclouds cooler was inspired by Miaoyus and Miaoyu's has a final form transformation it was only  fitting that gladias cooler become Meta Cooler which he graciously agreed to.

So without further ado... Cooler and Meta Cooler

Also.... Meta Cooler still needs more METAL Pallettes.....Feel free to download him and create more based off the existing 2... and post them here.

I was... but you should have read this post

That idea is better(easier)

Making final form sprites would take me forever...and with me currently living a LIFE.....it could be months before i find enough time to complete it.

I got it. downloaded the 3rd pallette and made some changes (u missed 2 colors that show up in select sprites). Metal Coola has 2 Pallettes

I'm am working on Cooler Project. I need Palletes to make Gladiaclouds cooler look metallic.

Since I HATE duplicates I (with permission from Gladiacloud) am rebranding Gladiaclouds cooler as Metal Coola.
This will allow me to release Miaoyu's coola as normal cooler(with tranformation into final coola)

I am not very good at making pallettes so it would be nice if some of the more experienced pallette makers would assist in this endeavor.

Just go to http://mugendream.com/dbz/chars/cooler.html and download gladiaclouds cooler.
Make pallettes and post them here with sample image

The Best 6 or 8 pallettes will be included in the character.

Thats a perfect idea....

but for accuracy.....Gladiaclouds cooler would be the metacooler.
As it wouldnt make since for metacooler to have a final form transformation.....
which is what Exists in miaoyus cooler.

Some updates... got more new characters from Gladiacloud and tomo,

General Blue, Guildo, Dodoria, and Omega Shenron.

Been busy but illl be adding an endings section to mugen dream. I have just been contemplating redoing the whole site with more modern design techniques. I'm hesitant because theres an amount of nostalgia i get from the sites current design and that I hand coded it from scratch.


Tomo I love these idea, but i havent the time to do these things myself. However if you are down for the task of leading this then i'm all for it.

I actually like the logo.. but why the '2'?
So...with all the new "DBZ Dream'ish" stuff, maybe it's time to think about the new screenpack.

My ideas:

- Animated Intro

- Animated Main menu with some DBZ theme(like Mr.Satan helping you to choose the battle mode)

- Select Screen with something going on in the background, animated "round style" char portrait

- Cool Win screen with quotes for every char(mine is from NoZ's WarZoNe Screenpack - which I think is sweet)

- Announcer shouting during the match

- Same continue screen for every char(Korin and his Senzu bean for example)

- Intro and Ending for every char.(I already made them Link)

Plus since there are so many characters it is reasonable to include a Story Mode and thanks to

tool created by kamiloxnumetal now it is possible, so:

- Story Mode with 4 Sagas

- Animated Cutscenes

- Intros and Endings for each saga

- Unlock char system

I made this for myself. I'm not so good with the graphic stuff like many of the guild members - I'm sure that
someone could made it epic. But here what I came up with... it's just an example of what I mean.
Yeah and sorry for the logo I get carried away :P

Here is some video I've made a little time ago showing how the Story Mode works.

So...I hope that some of my ideas would be used for epic purpose. :)

I like these intros... They'll be included on the site when i get the chance.. and in any updates to chars.

An Intro for SuperBuu would be nice.

During the final form, Cooler should have a very massive musculature.

You should use as a reference the Burter's sprites, as did Ax.
his body is larger but for the  most part  it will still look better with a frieza base.

I plan on making him bigger using x/y scale.

Nope. As I said before I haven't the time these days to implement upgrades to chars. If Tomo has time to improve chars, then I'm open to replacing the original with his version. Tomo basically did what I used to do on miaoyu's chars.
I was talking to him, but I see.

But I said that because I thought it wasn't improved.
Because:
-palettes are gone,
-the shared palette option in all sprites is gone;
-the FX (in my opinion) don't fit him (too flashy, and we know which FX Choujin's characters uses);
-and he didn't fix the bugs (only one as I can see, the Kamehameha hitsounds).

Then it could be just a patch, no need to replace a character [like 557's Vegeta and your (Stig) edit].

if its not an improvement thats something different.....i already have his english SND....i'll just fix the bugs myself.

The removal of the belt is a nice change to the sprites.. but i'll have to go back and put pallettes back.

Nope, just graphics, sounds, effects...In fact I wrote what I've changed earlier :)
Didn't mess with the code so much, cuz bugs didn't bother me at all - gameplay still is sweet.

I always wanted to do intros and win screens and endings.  would u be open to doing these for  ALL the chars?

Ok, so I've been editing Gohan for myself, but maybe someone would like my version too.
So I made a little changes:

- Edit sprites(get rid of the belt, some colors changing)
- Made him a little smaller(he was kinda bigger than Goku and Buu)
- fix some portrait problems(pallet)
- English soundpack



- Some "modern" effects(Masenko, Kamehameha etc.)



- Different sound intros vs: Piccolo, Goku, Krillin, Trunks and Buu
- Intro and Ending for Arcade Mode



- Win Quotes

This is awesome. I recommend clearing up some sprites that are blurred thats the only problem I see.
Like Gotenks for example. Beautiful gameplay put he is just so burly. With Sprite clear up he be perfect.

Thats been the mugendream issue from day one. I devised this project years ago to use existing resources to create a game a focus on gameplay. With that being said I know the UB22/Shin butoden sprites are not cute. However those are the only gotenks sprites around. Now if you know of some others or are willing to do the sprites yourself... be my guest.

I personally avoided making gotenks because I hated those sprites.  Spriters are few and far between. Even fewer these days than when i first came around in the mid 00's

Here are a couple of coola sprites i've edited... basically just adding the white tail... and the shin and arm colors... The head can be added later.
