I originally found the characters on MFG and other similar sites.
I changed everything except but some animations and most sprites.
Sora and Cloud were extra fun.

Going by the preview these characters must be midgets for that box to be four times their size.  Or they're in the Big Small Island from Super Mario 64.

They are chibi characters, which by nature are not to scale.
