Hi, thanks for sharing all this work and information! :hyo:

Recently I decided to incorporate the Tiny Buffering on my current project, and up to now everything works nicely. However I feel really newbie in a certain aspect of the Button Buffer section - the negative edge: how to actually implement this in a optimal way?

If you're taking code or sprites from another project, something that someone spent their time on, and decide that they're not worth crediting because they don't hold the IP - that's no better than art theft. No love for those kinds of people. Negligence is a different thing, I didn't think people could stoop this low.

you do know that without them you wouldn't be able to get you hands on the sprites right? its true, those assets belong to the company who made them, but the company didn't hand you the sprites on a silver platter. they integrated them in their games.
a mugen hobbyist went through the trouble of ripping them from the games, not only did they do this work unpaid but they also took time out of their life to do it (alot of time). they deserve to be thanked for that, it would also encourage them to do rip more sprites from games.

have you ever used a sprite ripping tool? do you have any idea how complex it could be at times? mr mugen def organizer (lol)?
man i would love to see you struggling to use a funky game cheat tool like artmoney, it would make you appreciate just how much work those guys put in.

Dude, even if I use sprites from a Capcom game, the code that is developed is still all mine. Capcom has nothing to do on it, so why are you removing my credits and giving them to Capcom??

^ I rather just highlight some of the previous statements, to hopefully make it clearer what lesson one could take from this discussion...

Alright, decided to do a big revamp on my "official" CvS/CFJ+ roster. :pleased:

Is that Shinkiro-like artwork official? It scares the hell outta me :S
Just kidding, it looks nice & funny! :tongue3: Thanx for the release, I'm always down for new CFJ stuff.

Feedback:
  • The High Jump mechanic seems to be rather difficult to perform than usual, is that proposital?
  • When jumping, sometimes he ends up doing a LK automatically.

That's a clever technique that can proportionate really impressive results, my friend! :D

Now I must see how it handles a hi-res fighter...

I'm glad you enjoyed this kind of revamp, folks! ;D

Yo YugaCurry, that's ok. It's just a brief comment in portuguese. By the way,
Do you intend to work on other Zelgadis chars?
That's something to think about. His Lord Raptor has the same coding style, I suppose?

Quem sabe, mano... :curtain:

So, uh... This isn't really a new "POTS Style char", I just made some adjustements to a already good Donovan from MUGEN, so he can be cool and flashy as the other darkstalkers from my CvS style roster;

This is more like a visual update, with almost no gameplay changes from the base Donovan. Maybe it even keeps some bugs from the original version... :innocent:

I implemented a few stuff though, like the Low-High Jump variations from CvS; and also made use of MUGEN 1.0's capability to fix the way his custom A.I. activates.

Final Destination (Brawl) for MUGEN 1.1

Story behind this: the moment I discovered about Mugen 1.1's exclusive interpolation feature, was the moment I gave to myself the task to make something cool with it; and it took me only a few months to achieve that! :D

Well then, behold my "quite accurate" recreation of everyone's favorite Smash stage, with some original twist on it. Features:
  • intense zoom and boundhigh
  • intense animations, using different layers positioning technique
  • intense parallax effect in the platform
  • intense colors, even if they're indexed so you don't need OpenGL to run it
  • quite optimized file size (I tried my best on that)
  • looping BGM

What's left:
  • add some animations to the platform, and clean it up a bit.

Scaling your char using .air will most likely make things messed up if he, or a enemy, gets through a custom gethit state that uses ChangeAnim2.

So yeah, it's more suitable to use this method only for FX and stages;

Well, since the demon face animation wasn't made with the same accuracy as everything else, I think I need some feedback on this one - does it looks alright?

EDIT: Hey, I just noticed there's a way to to implement a stylish face and still keep it sharing colors with everything! By putting a "shadow layer" just below the projectile.

The Midnight Bliss effect looks pretty good as it is. If anything, I would just say to emphasize the final hit with a bigger spurt of blood, slowdown or a afterimage.

Looking good!
Thanks! :sugoi:

Darkstalkers fx are tricky to work upon due to their "simplistic" shading, and some other stuff. So I opted to smooth the frames out manually before applying any filters, trying to keep most of the details from the source.

Well, what about these?
