thats guilds fault they are having lag issues atm with hosted creators sites.

In light of this, is there going to be an alternate link for download. I've tried this for several days and it's going so slow it times out after awhile.

Well, thank you. The comparison is way too extreme (and kinda flawed) because ok the Einstein point may have the same correlation but the Ali one... no, he was arrogant cause he was too good :P back to the point, of course there are different ways to do stuff (portraits in this matter) and 1.1 is the future so that will become a standard soon enough (official 1.1 release please). There are plenty of factors to consider (leaked 1.1, some people don´t liking it (me included) and stuff) but, again, I can relate with Mugennoobin cause he did the stuff the harsh way. He just feel the same way like a worker that use a process to do anything (harsh & timetaking) then a new worker come along with a new process being inplemented (that take less time) it´s common. I´m not discouraging people to do 1.1 portraits, I´m just playing Mugenoobin´s advocate.

Einstein doesn´t had a program that maked or proved his theories either. Everything was due to investigation.

Aldo, one problem with that. Einstein didnt come along with no information to help him. Of course those who strive to be great and work harder go through more but they still gain something from the ones who came before them, layed the ground work and left info to help those who they knew would come after. Einstein, other scientist, atheletes, teachers and etc. leave info to not only show what they themselves accomplished but as a starting point to help others. Ali was arrogant because he learned from the masters before him, studied and added his own solutions and talent and pushed foward. That is the correlation i am trying to point out. Talent alone can only get you so far, hard work alone can only get you so far but both with determination can push you past the greats that came before you.

Aldo, you are one of the few posters i respect. You are very intelligent and i just can't comprehend how you dont see the corrolation. We as a people come to conclusions by different methods but we are also influenced greatly by our peers that come before us. If the person i look up to and study has no hope for the future or process i believe in that will be a very heavy factor on me. Yes, MugenNoobin, effort is a very important part but i believe encouragement, guidance and information go a long way. In the military, martial arts and science a approach of positive enforcement, knowledge of past and future information and a fostering of community is used to continue a push foward of progress. While i can understand your concerns problems are not solved by more problems but by solutions. What is your solution?!?

I understand your point MugenNoobin but still i feel it is flawed. We are human and we err. Saying that those who understand will strive and work hard will pervail is true but still arrogant. We are diverse, a multitude of indivuals from different walks of life, nations and race. We all have our trials and tribulations, situations and experiences. They called Muhammed Ali a show off and a fool, Albert Einstein an idiot and those creative enough to think outside the box naive. You have to understand people learn by different methods, ideas and experience but also by their peers. How can you belittle someones effort before they even make an attempt? Things change, for better or worse as time progresses. If anything i would think instead of automactically being negative we would pre-emtively infuse our future colleages with the information to help them to succeed. Don't be a stumbling block to our future, help cultivate it.

Aldo, i understand that but why are we so quick to focus on the negative aspects? The MUGEN community can only grow by the continued contributions of us all. New, old and intermediate. For so long we have alienated the newcomers, those who think different or posters who lack vast knowledge. With that attitude we can never push forward. I graduated college in 2004 and had to work hard, struggle and earn every accolade but i don't hold those behind me accoutable because the studies i learned became more simple and easy to learn. Thats the nature of the beast, time moves foward and we learn more. This is TheNOGoodThief and i approve of this message!

Never let the path of another cease your work. While i do agree that portrait making will become open and easier for outsiders, is that a bad thing really?!? There will always be those that choose to take a simple route but i believe that more will be open and willing to seek the knowledge of the masters. Be patience and ready to teach the "noobs" how it is really done. I was once a leecher, thief and degenerate but i crossed over by the example of the wise and faithful. Continue to master your craft, evolve with the future and stay ready to help those with less information. "It takes a village to raise a family." Yes, i just noticed that MugenNoobin. I think this thread has conviced me to give 1.1 a shot. Hephaistos31 (or anyone for that matter) i followed your process i believe to convert Warzone to 1.1 but i'm having an issue where WarZone's title screen selections (arcade, versus, team, etc.) do not appear. I completely deleted the data folder from 1.1 and dropped in Warzones data folder. OpenGLScreen and everything else is also changed. I apologize in advance if this should be in the help section but since this has been a topic several times in the thread and explanation given i though it would be alright to ask at least one question about it.

Pretendo moderators can get pretty annoying as well. On another note, Gohan is coming along smashingly.

Death Beam! (the beam is cut off for the sake of the animated gif. You might also note Freeza and his FX are two seperate gifs I timed to work together!) The charing is during the superpause, ingame the beam will be nearly instant (ignoring the superpause I mean).

Well, there you have it folks. Besides my gripe, we all know Frieza will turn out great. Frieza.....the first open homosexual DBZ Villain..........i kid, i kid.

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

In the end it's Balthazar's decision but i disagree that it fits Frieza. As stated by a previous poster, maybe it fits with TFS Frieza. Visually it looks very effeminate but beautifully animated i must say again. I think, once again as previously stated, closing the hands into fist would solve the issue. As of right now, he looks as if he is two seconds away from skipping.

It is beautifully animated but doesn't fit Frieza. While a lot of us questioned his gender at first, it wasn't because of his actions, it was his looks. Frieza was made to look very weak later in the series but remember, originally he was intended to be the end all, be all villain of Dragonball Z. Frieza was cruel, manipulating, murderous and evil creature, especially in final form. While i could see him with a regal walk, the hands open all cutesy like a woman is too much for Lord Frieza. In my humble opinion i agree that his hands should at least be closed.

You know, those comic book guys are one of the reasons i stayed away from mugen so long. It's nice to see now that there are people who don't go along with that foolishness. Credit is one thing but these guys act as if they created this stuff from the ground up. Anyway, as some one else asked. Will you be using Ghost Riders UMVC3 voice and moveset? Also, on a different note. Will you be finishing your SNK/Street Fighter project? I use the ones you have made so far religiously (Zangief is simply refreshing and amazing work)and i look foward to see what you would do with characters like the four divas, Gouki, Rugal and Geese. Sorry for the long post guys.
