I've encountered something of a unique problem last night. Yesterday, I'd aquired a new TV (50 inch full HD no less), with the intent of using all my gaming systems with it, including my laptop. While the performance boost with the majority of my games is anywhere from minor to significant, Mugen seemed to freak right the fuck out upon firing it up. After messing around with my cfg, the only workable solution I got was changing from OpenGL to DirectX(of course this means I lose the ability to stretch the window). A google search for the most part, has come up with the results of 'I dunno'.

While a potential fix would be awesome, I'm curious as to why Mugen of all things suddenly tanks when most higher range games have benefited with a change of hardware?

Have you considered using Audacity to edit the volume of the voices? I used it to bump up the volume alittle on Cammy's SFIV voice files when configuring them to a character.

Problems left, right and centre here dude. You've got missing sprites in animations, sprite misalignments, and at one point, she flatout vanished on me mid fight. And that's without mentioning her clunky gameplay mechanics. I'm not exactly sure what you're going for here, but it ain't working.

And if you bought the game for the right console, the Costume Catalogues are optional downloads from the PSN Store, so while you're locked out of actually using the costumes until the new Catalogue arrives, you can still play the game just fine.

Sad thing is that I can see Team Ninja themselves taking this stance. "Oh, did we break your game on the 360? Yeah, sorry about that. But the PS3 version works just fine. Maybe just go buy that?"

If you own an xbox copy of the game(digital or retail), and you live in the ANZ region like me, your game has most likely been bricked by a corrupt entry in the marketplace. Since Team Ninja, in their infinite wisdom have decided to the xbox version of the game completely dependent on having all the costume catalogs. And since ANZ players are unable to download the latest catalog, we have all essentially been locked out of our games completely. It's been a week as of this typing, and Team Ninja can barely comprehend there being a problem. While they and Microsoft play pass the buck, it's likely that we'll remain locked out of our games for quite some time yet. Possibly indefinately.

Having bought the vanilla game and pretty much all the DLC up to this point, it goes without saying that I'm really not happy about this.......

Still no dice. Should I maybe be moving the statedef used to trigger the quotes elsewhere in the order too?

Edit: The hell? now the entire statedef used for the quote causes a mugen crash.  Error message: Can't find RYU_END.def

So making general quotes work is easy enough, but I can't seem to make character specific winquotes work. The character in question is DivineMai (if that makes any difference) The code I've written(lol, I mean copypaste'd) looks something like this......

One of many things I find irksome about your characters, is that light and medium attacks share the same animation. Some of those attacks you've assigned as specials would be better off being assigned as normals instead.

Just sayin.......
