Just got a Ultrawide Monitor @ 3440x1440p and wanted to see what Mugen would look like. And its pretty fuckin badass. Surprisingly it doesn't mess at all with HD Screenpacks, things may look slightly stretched but other then that it works perfectly. Only thing it messes with, like all increased Resolutions, is zoom. All my current .68 zooms became like how non-zoomed stages look in 1280x720. Also surprisingly it doesn't mess with Hyper/Super BG's at all. Nothing is stretched or cut off.

Note: Reshade IS Being used in these shots.

Unfortunately, as expected though. It pretty much breaks/makes all stages that aren't extremely wide, unusable unless you REALLY mess with the stages's localcoord and edit the sprites pos's to match. Another way is to decrease the zoom. However, due to the amount of extra stage is shown, the value i've found to get a good view of the stage and not have your characters constantly clipping through the Lifebars, is around 0.45 - .05. Anything higher and the characters become way to close. Especially HD or Larger Scaled characters.

But the sheer amount of extra space you have to fight in is really quite amazing. It all comes down to personal preference.

Pro's:
-More visible parts of stages at once
-Much more stage space available without your characters hitting the edges
-Screenpacks + Lifebars are not ruined, but may look SLIGHTLY stretched.
-Feels alot more cinematic.

Con's:
-Smaller stages become absolutely unusable unless your really good at stage editing and somehow extend the stage yourself.
-Must use a minimum of 0.5 Stage localcoord in order to achieve a good looking result. If your not a fan of zoom, your gonna have your characters clipping in with your lifebars while just standing still.
-Lifebars will look a bit bigger then in normal 720/1080p and are about 5% Blurrier, but hardly noticable.
-Ofc, performance. If you don't have a really good system, your definately gonna experience FPS Drops. If you can't already handle Mugen at 1920x1080 at a stable 60FPS, don't even try at 3440x1440, or even 2440x1080.

So i'm curious, does anyone else have an ultrawide monitor? And if so, what have your experiences been with Mugen.

I finish with the second part of animations, Finish (K.O) and the win animation. This time I take care with them too! For finish animation I separate every background ray with its own code and with it I can rotate the cercle all that I want with the corresponent effects on it. Win screen it´s done too. To not increase the weight of the file I create a perspective and the other it´s the same with different scale and rotation. The final height of the archive it´s only 35mb! And I have too the final design for the lifebars. I completely remade this with transparency effects and rotation on all timer cercles, soon I capture a video and I show us this 2 anims in action, for now... some captures!

Woah...normally im not a fan of smaller roster SP's, but i can DEFINATELY appreciate a stylish SP with passion put into it when i see one.

This is beautiful. From the colors to the Select Shapes to just the whole aesthetics in general.

Thats...a surprise. Not many people know about Love Plus, especially nowadays. Though u said this was a very old project so it makes a lil more sense lel.

Love Plus was pretty good and i loved the OP song. Thanks for sharing a classic screenpack. I won't personally use it but ima check it out :)

It's a remix for a reason, if the author likes it let it be. Imo, he could do alternate fx but I think it's fine. FX shouldn't affect the game play. Otherwise, I like where this is going. I honestly might come back after a long hiatus... lol.

Im getting a similar if not the same error as some here regarding running chars via Engine (testing them) from FFS.



It worked on the first char i tested but when i tried another one i error, no matter how many times i try. The char works 100% fine in the actual game but not when run via FFS.

Reviving this thread since I'm working on a certain character (check first page). Focusing all my time on completing this character before I finish off the BlazBlue resource thread.

Nice to see this thread being revived. Your work is astonishing and i still use Ares to this day.

And oh my god your working on 1 of my favorite characters in BlazBlue :D
