Lookin' incredible though, good luck with finishing it :)

tagin, tagout are incomplete/undocumented sctrls. They don't work in MUGEN 1.1

so essentially this character is unusable in 1.1? But is it usable in other versions like 1.0 or win?

It says mugen version is older than this version.
What ver mugen you using and what ver is
listed in the char def file?

1.1, and i changed the version in the def to 1.0 and even did 1.1 for a few. Thats not the huge issue though, its the other stuff.

Ok you see where it says error in config text: 14186

Open the config text in fighter factory and look for line
14186, you'll see the line numbers displayed on the left
of the document, that's where your error should be

Found it, now do i have to change it? It's not highlighted Red so its definately wrong, so would i be able to just change it to Null?

Code:
[state ]
type=tagout
triggerall=!ishelper&&floor((sysvar(2)%floor(2.0**1))/floor(2.0**0))=0||ishelper(100000)
trigger1=1
ignorehitpause=1

Edit: There are actually alot, so would i change each tagout to Null or something else?

Nvm, gave me a huge error that idk anything about.

Type = tagout isn't even a valid parameter, I dont know
what the creator was trying to do with that but mugen
doesn't know what that is, i would delete everything with tagout
but I'm not sure what it will do to the char.

You have a mess in your hands there, tagout doesn't
exist in mugen

Its so weird when i got the character from the creators nicovideo link that showcased the character, so it works. But considering tagout doesn't even exist...idk.

So now it gives me this huge error:

There are 2 stages from Eien no Aselia (The Spirit of Eternity Sword), made by Altoseal/ririlseal (according to his Nicovideo and website name). But the onedrive link connecting to them is down.

I was wondering if anyone had the stages or knew of working links, i've looked all over and can't find any.

Heres the Nicovideo for it:
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm25497382

And his website, scroll down to find the dead links:

Im more interested in the 2nd stage then the 1st.

So im trying to test out a couple characters made by some japanese creators, and 2 of them work, the others all give a similar error. This is 1 of the errors.

As you can see, it's pointing to a "tagout" line in the config.txt file, however when i open it, there are like a hundred "tagout" entries, am i seriously supposed to delete them ALL? that makes no sense...why would the author put that in if its gonna error?

The other 3 characters, all give a similar error, but just the part from "Error parsing [state ]" and downwards, and without the config file being the file.

Character version error is easy to fix but the rest i have no idea. I've looked in [statedef -2] and found nothing out of the ordinary. Hell for 1 of them i even fixed the main specific error, which was jarbled "Text" lines in a state, and that got rid of that part but still gave me a "Error parsing [state ]" and everything below.

If you need me to send the characters i can, and thanks in advanced!

Lookin REALLY sweet Gaz! I have a question/concern though. Your previous BlazBlue SP/Lifebar releases have been absolutely top quality, but they've all been EXTREMELY system heavy. Even on my system, i can't run your stuff very well. Screenpacks are ok, but the lifebars...when i go into a match, it takes forever to load and then the game lags severely when the round anims are playing, soon as their done it stops lagging as much but still has a drop in FPS.

Is this going to be the same?

Thank you, really apreciate your words. About your question, you can play without problems with the screenpack and lifebars too. I test it in my old dual core pc and play without problems with more than 200 chars in my other pc. The reason it´s I create animations with mugen 1.1 new functions and with only one image I can create a complete animation, more smooth and perfect. The lifebars it´s 28mb and screenpack less than 150mb. I guarantee that you can play without problems. See you!

Amazing, glad to hear it. Looking forward to trying this out, good luck! :D

Here's how i approached it. First I wanted to get mugen working again, even without reshade/sweetfx. Did you get mugen to work once you uninstalled reshade/sweetfx? If not, then maybe there's some remnant of the previous version still there mucking things up. I was originally just going to copy all my chars/stages/etc. to a new mugen 1.1 download and start from scratch but once I realized I might be able to avoid all that by deleting the reshade/sweetfx files, that saved me a ton of time.

Step 2 was either to download and install reshade or get nvidia to default start mugen vs integrated. Tired so can't remember which came first. I wasn't very methodical my first go around. :/

Step 3 was what I didn't do in step 2.

Somewhere in there I kept launching reshade and picking directx options when opengl didn't seem to work. the directx options would launch but reshade was not working, there wasn't that intro to reshade text at the top of the screen that says reshade is working. So then I'd try the other directx option and then, when I got the same no reshade start, I went back to opengl option.

But I am wondering if you got mugen to work after uninstalling reshade/sweetfx first. Sorry to ask all these potentially basic questions, just want to make sure we're not missing anything here.

Mugen works 100% fine without reshade, no issues. I used to be able to run it no issues with reshade its just not working all of a sudden.

Yes, I didn't realize that laptops don't always use their graphics cards automatically for every appropriate application. Sometimes you have to tell them to recognize an app and default to them vs the graphics card. On my laptop the nvidia icon is in the context area on the lower right hand of my screen. I have windows 10 and click on the carrot sign or up arrow to view several other hidden icons and one of them is "nvidia settings". You might have something comparable with a different graphics card. If you have nvidia and it's not there, maybe search "nvidia settings" or google how to pull it up for your card. When I double click that icon the nvidia control panel opens up and under manage 3d settings (highlighted by default) I click on the program settings (vs. global settings) to pick which program I want to tell nvidia to execute vs. the integrated graphics. There's an add button, which brings up an add window and I choose browse and search for the mugen exectuable file and click on open. With that done (labeled as 1.) I move on to 2. which is to select the preferred graphics processor for the program and select nvidia vs. integrated. Then I hit the apply button at the bottom and I'm set.

I have a few different versions of mugen so I have to remember to do this for all of them. I also sometimes forget to hit apply and wonder why it's not working. Anyway, not sure if any of this is helpful, but hope it somewhat is.

Alright i tried that, set it to my Nvidia GPU, still crashes when launching with Reshade :(

And yeah, i hit apply.

Did you change the graphic settings of your graphics card in any way? What version of opengl do you have?

I didn't. I did a re-install of my OS a few weeks ago, but mugen was still working perfectly fine when it finished. So it can't be that.

My GPU's driver is fully updated, so idk what the issue can be. I didn't change any settings. As for my OpenGL version...where do i check that?

I'm new to reshade, but when I downloaded the newest version yesterday I had to do a few things for it to work. First, I noticed that my nvidia software seemed to be reset by a windows 10 update so that it no longer ran my mugen.exe using my graphics card but the integrated one on my laptop, so I had to reset that. Then, I may have been doing this wrong but it seemed like I had to launch the reshade setup app and select opengl (didn't work), then direct x 10/11+ or whatever and nothing happened, and then did the first directx option (reading left to right) and nothing happened and then went back to opengl (or directx 10/11+ again first) and it worked. I don't really know what I was doing and just kept trying hoping maybe at least one of the directx would work and the opengl finally worked.

My reshade is 3.1.0.230 and I have a 6 year old dell Inspiron laptop with nvidia  geforce gt 525m graphics card with a tiny amount of memory. Seems like you have a graphics card as well since it used to work for you (too bad it doesn't work on integrated cards, which is my main laptop) so I'm hopeful that it should work.

Hope this helps a bit.

P.S. @YugaCurry, thanks for pointing to reshade awhile ago. Totally changed my experience of Mugen and I enjoy it so much more with my kids now that it looks like it would have back in the day when the original sprites were made. Grateful!

I see, it installed properly the first time, however i have no idea if Mugen is using my GPU or my Integrated Card. I had no idea there was a setting or option for that. Where do i go to check that?

So this never happened before, but now whenever i try to start Mugen 1.1 with reshade, it crashes. I have not changed anything. I uninstalled it from my mugen and tried reinstalling it with the newest version 3.1.1 as opposed to 3.1.0, as i read that it fixes it, doesn't.

So was wondering if any else has this issue, and if so did you fix it? How?

Oh and it crashes on startup, not CTD but Mugen errors.

I am flattered by your words. :)
I love that saber portrait :)
You actually found a pretty good solution for the stage font.

Well their well deserved, i've been desperately searching for a unique and stylish SP that is very light on the load and has amazing looking port designs. After all this progress i've been following of this, im so impressed by how far this has come. Seriously, feel proud of this. I can't wait till this is finished!

And thanks! I've made Saber, Saber Nero and Rin Tohsaka so far ~

Also it took some tweaking but i basically used the Lifebar Font for the Stage Font, and then had to modify the pos which took ALOT of trial and error.

If you don't mind, I'm planning on releasing a ports pack as well. I would love to add the ports you make?

Sure np! I'll send u them when i'm done or when you finish the SP if its before then.

It may be better once i use my usual stages with static zoom, but they just seem kinda big to me. But then again its probably just my personal preference. I love the lifebars design and animations a helluva lot but they just seem big. Its just me being weird :P
Thx.
I get what you mean, but my only solution would be moving the powerbars to the bottom, but that looks a bit weird.
Else try turning off zoomin and tell me if that helps. :)

It looks better zoomed out, but i'll just live with it, its kinda growing on me. And yeah i really don't like bottom powerbars, all they do is obscure the fight.

Also since the Stage Ports aren't working yet, i put the normal select back in. Im absolutely IN LOVE with this SP ❤

Hehe. ;)

I am currently cutting some few pixels of the bottom.
Is it distracting that the the lifebars are that big? Because i googled a ljttle, and there's plenty of bars of that size
