Well the Christmas release thing is not happening. *sigh*. New Years is probably a long shot. Will try and get it done before I start my new job.

I just wanted to share this match, it's a good match but the circumstances leading into the match and the stories told during it is really, really great
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2crqio

Doi Darts Special 10-Man Tag Team Match: Shachihiko BOY, Ryo "Jimmy" Kanda, Jimmy Saito, Don Fujii, GAMMA vs Yuga Hayashi, Kenichiro Akai, Yosuke SantaMaria, Punch Tominaga, CIMA

--This match was made using a spinning dart board and having kids throw darts at wrestlers names.
--Also this match was the debut for Don Fujii, GAMMA and CIMA in MAD BLANKEY because of a second dart board that drafted new members to the stable after Naruki Doi and Kzy went down to injury.
--There are four members of MAD BLANKEY in this match, including Punch Tominaga - So there were 2 members in each team.
--Yuga Hayashi is the youngest member of the team at 19, he is still in his Young Lion phase and is yet to pick up his own win so far.
--Weeks before, the Veteran-Gun stable which included CIMA, Don Fujii, GAMMA and Kenichiro Akai was dissolved after losing a match against the Millenials stable.
--On the 11/30 show, which pitched Over-35 wrestlers against their younger opponents, the main event Loser has His Head Shaved 6-Man Tag Team Match ended with Yoshiaki Fujiwara submitting Yosuke SantaMaria, meaning SantaMaria - as per the stipulation - had to shave his head. Don Fujii volunteered in his place however, and despite being on the winning team had his head shaved bald.
--A few days later, a completely-bald-but-wearing-an-Elvis-wig Don Fujii teamed with the Jimmyz stable against Masato Yoshino and a bunch of other jobbers I can't remember. After the Don Jimmyz won, they performed the "Jimmyz Train" with Don Fujii as conductor.

Spoiler: After the Match (click to see content)

So many threads coming into and out of this match, considering it was made my kids throwing darts at a spinning board.

Well, WWE is the easiest to get into because they're everywhere. Sometimes tracking down shows is hard, but generally even I don't watch wrestling outside those promotions I've mentioned, although I do keep up with general news from other promotions.

Wow, tons of stuff i've truthfully never heard of. I've seen PWG on youtube browsing in the past in a match with Matt Hardy Vs. Carlito Vs. Tommy Dreamer iirc. Didn't check it out though. I think the only small time indie promotion i checked out was ICW (think i got that right) because it was Prince Devitt's last match before making his WWE debut and i wanted to check him out.
I'll give you a heads up on the promotions:
New Japan Pro Wrestling
New Japan Pro Wrestling is currently the top Japanese promotion. In their heyday they championed a style known as "strong style" which is basically a mix of martial arts and wrestling coined by Antonio Inoki. Nowadays the wrestlers seem to have a mixture of styles due to training excursions in both the US and Mexico (their large roster of foreigners also add to the influence). The current IWGP champion is Hiroshi Tanahashi, the ace of the company who was one of the few top stars to come through the dark period of the early-mid 2000s, another star being the current IWGP Intercontinental champion Shinsuke Nakamura. Other top stars include Kazuchika Okada, AJ Styles, Tetsuya Naito, Katsuyori Shibata and Hirooki Goto.
Dragon Gate
Arguably Japans number 2 promotion. Dragon Gate was founded by Ultimo Dragon as Toryumon, but ended up splitting in the mid-2000s and growing to what it is today. Dragon Gate uses a mix of Japanese Puroresu and Mexican Lucha Libre, often sporting colorful characters and masked high flyers. Dragon Gate is known for having very high speed matches and its wrestlers are known to have up to 5 or more finishers. Another aspect of Dragon Gate is that it is in a perpetual stable war, with the promotion having at least 4 stables up and running at any time. As of today their top title is the Open the Dream Gate Championship currently held by BxB Hulk, who leads the Dia Hearts faction. Other factions are the villainous MAD BLANKEY, the young Millennials (a group of Mexican trained youngsters born after 1990), and the uber-face Monster Express. Names to look out for are Naruki Doi (Arguably the top heel), YAMATO (If Doi isn't the top heel, it's this guy), Masato Yoshino (Speed Star, possibly the fastest wrestler alive), Shingo Tagaki, T-Hawk, Dragon Kid, and CIMA (who is also Dragon Gate's booker).
Pro Wrestling Guerrilla
Basically an indy superpromotion that follows a remarkably different business model and thrives from it. PWG runs out of one venue in Reseda, California monthly and regularly brings in the top indy talent from across the US, as well as across the world. It's a common sight to see Ring of Honor talent at PWG shows because of their DVD-only distribution process, which worked around ROH's contracts. PWG is basically wrestling on speed, wrestlers tend to go all out and in turn that creates a fever pitch in the building and the crowd goes absolutely off on it. As such, it's best to just forget about psychology and lose yourself in matches. The current PWG World Champion is Roderick Strong (zzz) and the Tag Champions are the World's Cutest Tag Team of Joey Ryan and Candace LaRae - The only woman that's regularly booked for PWG. Other regulars include Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole, the Young Bucks, Brian Cage (a jacked bodybuilder with a lucha moveset; lionsaults, no hand planchas, he once performed the slowest 619 in history), TJ Perkins also shows up on occasion, this was the defacto home promotion for Kevin Steen (even more than ROH was).
Ring of Honor
Formerly the top independent wrestling company before selling to Sinclair Broadcasting Group, Ring of Honor has moved itself into the safe number 3 slot in the US promotional Power Rankings. ROH, even today, places the most importance on workrate, and thus feature technically sound wrestling near the top of the card. Barring a few examples ROH's champions have generally been seen as the top worker on the independents, and some of the biggest indy storylines have been run throw Ring of Honor. They have been the home promotion for a who's who of champions in both TNA and WWE, with CM Punk, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Bryan Danielson and more winning the top prize in those promotions after winning the ROH World Title. The current champion is Jay Briscoe, one of only 2 men to have 2 World Title reigns. The current tag champions are reDRagon, who also hold the IWGP Jr. Tag titles in New Japan. Curiously, Alberto El Patron chose Ring of Honor over TNA as his US promotion.
Combat Zone Wrestling
A promotion that in my mind gets a bad rap for the ultraviolent deal and the backyard-tier videos you'd find on Youtube. Ultraviolence, in my mind, is a legit style of wrestling that can work very well when limited. CZW has switched focus lately from showcasing ultraviolence to preferring to put on matches showcasing young talent. CZW is also known for touring overseas with German-based WXW and BJPW in Japan, and they'd often send representatives overseas 3 or 4 times a year. CZW's big shows are the Tournament of Death, a one day/night deathmatch tournament that's held outside to dodge building regulations, and Cage of Death, CZW's biggest event held at the end of the year and features different designs for the Cage of Death every year. The current CZW champion is BLK JEEZ, who won the title at Cage of Death in an awesome match I really recommend, and it's current tag champs are OI4K, the former-Irish Airborne brothers of Jake and Dave Crist. Other notable wrestlers include Drew Gulak (AKA Soldier Ant of CHIKARA), Biff Busick, Dirty Daddy Chris Dickinson, Shane Strickland and Devon Moore. Former home promotion for WWE's Solomon Crowe and Dean Ambrose. Luke Harper also had a memorable run in CZW.

Go for it and show us the results, it'll help out someone like me that has no idea what's good and what's not with NJPW stuff, plus I always enjoy checking out good event suggestions.
It's always hard doing these things, I listed out around 17 shows and narrowed it to 15.
1   NJPW G1 Climax 24 Day 7
2   WWE Wrestlemania XXX
3   NJPW G1 Climax 24 Day 8
4   Dragon Gate The Gate of Destiny 2014
5   PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2014 Day 2
6   NJPW G1 Climax 24 Day 11
7   NJPW G1 Climax 24 Day 4
8   NXT Takeover REvolution
9   ROH War of the Worlds
10   NJPW Power Struggle 2014
11   PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2014 Day 3
12   Dragon Gate Dead or Alive 2014
13   PWG ELEVEN
14   CZW Cage of Death XVI
15   ROH Best in the World 2014

Cage of Death was yesterday, so under harder scrutiny it might not make an actual top list (although the show was uncharacteristically good for CZW, so it might actually climb higher, not sure).

NXT R.Evolution was the greatest wwe event in 2014, potentially the best wrestling event of 2014 period.
You could make an argument for the best WWE Event. But it's Top 10 in wrestling events this year at best.

We weren’t quite sure what we wanted to do with Hugo in Omega. So the first step, naturally, was to give him a Shoryuken.

I'm also advertising my services as a designer. I will design anything you need SP-wise as long as it follows these criteria:
  • Creative control
  • 1.1 only
You're welcome to feedback on the design, as well as to contribute any initial design ideas (I will use initial ideas, but feedback changes will depend). I don't require any sort of accreditation for the work, I will photoshop, give you the psd and you can do whatever with it, even say you made it yourself.

Yes, I will even design an entire SP for you.

Yes, I will do lifebars as well (but not animations, sorry!).

so Ryback's getting a push again? Haven't been up to date with the show lately... and god.. Steph's acting has gotten worse.
Ryback returned from injury hot. Albeit not "vs. Punk for the title" hot but he'll probably get back there.
