I'm even having this issue. I've noticed that you litterally have to add a screen shot of each stage and put it either in 0-9 a-z which already has images for screen pack. if you was to rename the file for the 0-9 etc. it will use that screen pack thats in there and stage will be selectable. which sucks as I rather just have the old school style where you can select your stage and go by the stage name without the stage view. It's to limited if you can only use not even 100 stages for stage view when there's like 2000 custom stages out there. they need to come up with a better system for stage view or have the old stage select back that's what I'm looking for to convert back too as well. I recall a post somewhere in how to get rid of the black bars in mugen 1.1 if I find it I'll repost it here as that's also an issue of mine right now.

Ever since I have saw the new 720p/ 1080p set up I been wanting to transfer all my mugen characters to the mugen 1.1 . Unfortunately the only screen pack that i found was MM-CGOF-1.1-720p-NoCAT with the other varieties. The one with stage view is nice but it has it's limitations. with image view and 0-9 and a-z.  I like the older mugen  engines where it was just stage select: 01 (stage name) and so on. I had over 1200 stages from my older mugen engine to choose from.  but now when it comes to stage selct I can no longer see that option to change it yet I still can change it if i was to tap right or left arrow keys without knowing what stages I'm selecting. So How would I come by in adding that to the mugen 1.1 engine? or to that particular screen pack? new pack holds so far 4823 but I'll try add in more when i have more then that. Other then that my older one is  character select. as u can see in theses pictures. the only issue i have now is a bit straightening and getting that stage select with just text to work. like the older ones.

I'm a old mugen player and decided to update my roster and found out that they finally support 720 and 1080p. So now I'm redoing my old rosters and I figure I join here as the new mugen engine is kinda confusing to me compared to the older ones. I'll ask my help question in help zone shortly thanks.
