I was thinking more along the lines of not trying to make a "RS LIST" of things not to post.

Just a general theme of things to be aware of. That if you feel a picture may be too offensive/erotic/whatever... then a mod could as well.

GTFI  :)

we are a gaming board. lets just follow ESRB and forbid anything AO. M+ should be spoilered and everything else is OK.

My personal reaction is to eliminate those.

As I will now do.

Seriously guys, you were discussing instead of acting...

Anyway, its a board that is both worksafe and supposed to be a friendly environment, those kind of things simply have nothing to do with goatses, tubgirls, faces of death and ultra realistical gore.

cartoon gore? sure, now real stuff?!...

I don't really have a problem with gore. I mean as long as we can tell it's not real. I mean the cat thing was fake so I wouldn't have a problem but the other two.......

I couldn't tell I'm pretty sure one of them was very real.

Maybe we should just have some easy rules. Like no pictures of dead people and all nipples and genitalia have to be blocked out.

A rule like that will keep the gore shit out and would require those who wish to do the nudity a way to do so.

Fuck I got mixed up in a freaking fight between Montresor and Claudia. He was insulting how she looked in the vid I put those in the recycling and sent him a warning about being nice.

He came back with some bullshit about how she is and that her sig is calling him a fag.

She has a picture of his avatar with fag written on his glasses. I know big woop right?

Any how should I remove his picture from her sig or should I just ignore it.

I swear I feel like I'm baby sitting on this one. I promised myself not to get evolved in anything publicly involving Claudia

What are your thoughts about this horrible thing that has occurred? It's the worst thing ever right?

You should remove it, and she needs a warning as well. Personal attacks are personal attacks and claudia as we all know is a dipshit.

Unwritten permission rules......if they still valid aswell? Seem to be, as people do PM me if they need to ask about some personal edits and even if they do try to release it in the future I kindly tell them not too. My code is open source but not the character. Kinda didn't happen here.

Since all I do is lurk now, I still read up on the forum and found that thread today. Race45 seems to be doing patches for various authors giving them MvClike abilities. Not that big a deal, but it would of been more proper for him to have asked me in PM before doing so. The only person so far not to ask for this type of permission is him. I pmed him proffesionaly so hopefully he takes down my creations (as they are edits as it is, and don't need anymore) If not, what can be done about it? He's from IMT where I don't go since a GM over there for some reason deletes my WIP and release threads, Luffy. Hes um, Rojemaru here at MFG so I am sure those patches are there also at IMT since it's a MvC type of community.

I know P.o.t.S characters get alot of editing and he's probably used to it as he probably also meh towards just character editors. Anyway, I think I may be able to reason with Race45 on a professional level. If not...I guess which is why I pmed you.

i cant understand exactly what he wants, and im busy preparing for an oral examination this monday, could someone give a better look at it?
I think he just wants to know if we are gonna protect his "rights" but i might be missing something since that sounds a really weird thing to ask.

Looks like he wants to know we'll step in if he can't reason with said person.

Why would we though? Patches are fine and I wish everyone would only post a patch and a link to the character but we know how all that goes. I mean we handle the patch thing the best of all the forums we have basically created a shit release thread for that sort of thing. Yeah his PM is not clear about what he is asking for. I'm surprised if he thinks we are going to do something about his creations being hosted with a patch.

I'll write up a pm later today, tell him we are not going to tell anyone what to do or not to do with creations and patches, in simple English.

Actually, we decided not to do the whole permission asking thing anymore about a year ago. There are some lengthy threads that explain it all, here and here. But you don't need to read those, unless you are really bored :P

That would have been nice of him, yes. But it's not mandatory anymore, he can edit creations all he wants.

As mentioned above, we do not play police there anymore. You can tell him to take down your creations, but if he doesn't there's not much you can do. What would you win if he took them down anyways?

Sorry, we are not going to help you there. I suggest you just enjoy that people like your characters so much they put work in them to make them better (or worse ;P). You are not losing anything there, and he gives proper credit so people do know it's based on your work :)

looking good to everyone? I tried to keep it simple :P

He posted the same stupid thread in 9+ forums, in few hours. >_>

That guy was basically the worst case scenario of zero forum experience, it would take commitment to pull him through, the kind where no one says thank you and it probably fails because he loses interest really fast when he finds out this game doesn't work like most. If he stuck around, guided or not, chances would have been he made himself disliked by everyone and had a hard time getting by even if he learned really fast.

This way, he will either move on, or play mugen most of these three weeks and possibly have read just enough to understand why his actions now were stupid. It's a "no posting" ban, not a GTFO ban, after all.

Not it.

Was it locked when I posted in it?
