Hey, to the people asking questions about sprites and stuff. You might want to post that on Youtube, I doubt the author comes to this site. Also this superman is overpowered, but all you have to do is adjust his life, defense and power he is beatable, just don't lower it too much or he will be taken apart in seconds. And those intros are not really that long,(just press a button and skip them, I think you can? I haven't bothered to try) the video makes them appear to be that way cause they are grouped together, but this guy went all out to add some nice touches to a 1st character. I would love to see if he updates him or makes batman or those cheesy villains from the original movies or something. The teleportation I think is really his super speed because before he "teleports" he does a running pose (he is running so fast it appears he has teleported, but he hasn't) who knows, yep he used a dragon ball character so that explains the "port", and this is Reeves (RIP) its nice to see him as Superman.
Ok, so I bit. He does MASSIVE damage (tons of one-hit kos) but is kinda funny to watch. Obviously not a character to be taken seriously at all. The only major downside I found was the crazy long doomsday super does not seem to work on 1.0 - he just spazzs out with Lois appearing and disappearing for a few seconds, then grabs a rock out of nowhere, then turns into his dying mode. One that note, his dying mode basic with the car... Eat this bitch.
People may not like this, but it's very creative. And mugen has been losing its creativity now-a-days...
Just because its not balanced doesn't mean people will hate it. I for one find this release to be very humorous and interesting. Also, did the guy make these sprites or did he rip them from the movie? Cause they look nice.
There's some great sprite work. I also had that problem with Lois appearing and disappearing over and over.If someone made a patch correcting some errors or the creator updated it I don't really see a problem with the character. It's very creative and definitely a nice homage to Chris Reeve. There's a lot of pros opposed to cons for this being his first character that I'm sure will get fixed eventually... hopefully. We do need to reference this thread on his YouTube though so he can see the feedback.
^you think the sprite looks good? well thats bullshit.this char very bad coded + ugly sprites = Garbage
Nanashi_1337 said, November 08, 2011, 08:21:01 amThis character's size is nearly 100MB.whatEven Miku isn't that big. There's no way I'll be able to get him and run him without straining my computer.
Hmm, mine says he's 171 MB....I don't know, I think it's a pretty funny character. Though the one-hit kills ruin it a bit...I also didn't think Superman's super speed worked the same way as DBZ portraied it, so copying that bit felt weird for him...Still, I'm keeping him.

Hmmm....Not all characters have to be perfectly coded and by the rules. This release goes to show you that creativity and fun truly define a charatcer. Coding alone doesn't make for greatness. Posts in this thread prove it.
Look at the video in the first post and see how long the supers with "videos" are, and you'll understand why the SFF is so huge.
MaxBeta said, November 11, 2011, 03:05:10 pmCharacter of the year? Nah...Character of the decade right here.Ditto. I'm also for petitioning Cybaster to make a patch. For added incentive, I will send him 20 bucks as a bribe. How much is 20US worth in New Zealand??
