The Desert - estimation 80% (see with Yoda)
Shang Tsung Garden 20 %
The Pool (artwork version) 0%
The Pool (Custom 3D version) ???% (see with DA_MAVERIK)
Goro's Lair  ???% (probably at least 50 to 60 %)

do you really expect us to make all these stages in 2 days ?  ::)

some people are going slower. To be honest, don't count on anything before a month. Especially because we wait for everybody and I know DA_MAVERIK has a lot to do with his 3D version.

Hey guys,

So I've read the rules for this topic and I think the concept is interesting.
If I understand what you're doing, it's cuting elements from concept images and paste each elements of the image to make a stage.
However, with only concept art images, we can't use the "delta" code. You know, the thing who gives the impression that the elements are moving.
My method is a little bit different, I just import the 3D stage models from MK9 with 3DS Max and make a stage with them. It's a little bit longer, but in my opinion it could be more realistic.
Here is what I've done so far with this method :

Just tell me if it's good or not for your project. If not, there's no problem, it's just that it is the only topic for MK9 stages so I post it here ^^

Well well well I wasn't expecting another 3D artist.
To answer you, you can add deltas with artworks it's just a pain in the butt depending on the stage and little people are willing to deal with it. But it's doable.

Your haunted forest stage looks awesome in the overall and 3D work is usually well received, I only suggest that you correct the colors as the objects in the stage look out of place. The grass could be more blueish and the cadaver darker and blueish as well. But I suppose the image you sent me is not the finished version.

You are probably aware that we have another 3D artist in the team --> DA_MAVERIK

You are welcome to join the project with your own work.
It's looking very good so far.
Thanks for posting - and good luck on your progress. I consider you a team member for this project now, if you wish to join indeed.

Great ! It's good to see that my work was not done in vain ^^
As you said, this image is a very early WIP, because a lot of elements are missing and some corrections have to be made.
It will be a pleasure to join your team. But I cannot guarantee full time presence because I have another project in my responsability (http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=133300.0)
And actually, once you'll finish your stages, I may take some of them for my MK9 Game :)
Still, I thank your compliments and I promise you to work as far as I can to make beautiful stages for the Mugen gamers ;)

we were originally supposed to work on the one in the artworks but 3D artists are limitless. I don't think we could have ALL of them but a good bunch of the most famous I guess
