I think many people miss the whole point of Dan. It's not just for the humor, which is a great part of his character. But if you can consistently defeat your opponent with Dan, it is a way of shaming and dishonoring your opponent. Dan is weak on purpose. So picking him is a way of saying "I can defeat you with this weak character". It is handicapping yourself. I worked at an EBGames for about 9 years, and I left cvs2 on display all the time. People would always walk in and challenge me. I'd say about 95% of the time the team they picked was: Ryu, Ken, Akuma. Defeating them every time with Dan and Zangief was my guilty pleasure. There is so much more fun in destroying someone with a weak character like Dan rather than a guaranteed win with say Akuma. I personally do not like how Shingo is becoming a better character. They should weaken him.

shingo has always been pretty strong, actually, even in games in which he seems to be technically inferior like kof 2001, he makes up by doing big damage; but that's another discussion.

Yeah, but he really has no advantage over Ken, Ryu, or Akuma. Can you think of a reason his character would be technically advantageous to picking a different shoto? And I don't think the shiny dragon counts.

Oh I hope Dudley is in. Dudley is one of my favorite SF2 character. Hugo is my absolute fave.

I'd vote Hugo before Fei Long but Fei Long before Dudley. I'm just a big Fei Long fan.
