Also, more on topic, wouldn't this hurt people posting screenshots for found release/release topics? Especially people who are new and are just trying to post the release.

yeah it's not very practical for them, but it's not like there are a lot of other choices. they can still post links to the image urls. i imagine this limit will be removed later on when there hasn't been any spam for a while

Word yea that's true. Nothing stopping em from just slapping a [Screenshot] on top of the link like some people do, my problem is just lack of information and people won't know why they can't, which will cause some confusion when they get that odd person who refuses to look at a topic if there isn't a screen.

Even though not a whole lot of people are gonna be doing stuff like releases that will need images in them, I can understand wanting that(my first post ever one a Mugen forum was a release). But at the same time it makes sense to have a block like this in place, letting you become a community member before doing it. Or just linking the url.

I don't know if we're ever going to remove it, maybe.

Yeah if it becomes a problem like that I'm sure we'll come up with something better later on. Val kinda came up with this on a whim to help us out and it flat out solved the problem overnight. Btw thanks for pointing out the people who were upset by it and even replying to that thread Titiln.
