I thought this project was interesting. The sun has exploded, and you are away from your loved ones.
What do you do with the thirty minutes you have before everyone dies?
http://30minutestolive.com/

Several persons got together to make comics based on this idea. The site is taking a bit of a beating so you might not be able to read them right now, attention some of those are Not safe for work.

So, what would you do?

I'd sharpen my sword, put on some armour and get ready to die sword at hand.

Everybody's going to die in 30 minutes, I find any action pretty much meaningless so I'll probably do nothing special.

I'd be completely oblivious for about 29 minutes and then realise that the sun just exploded 29 minutes ago.

Well, if I'm separated from loved ones, I'm going to assume calling is out of the question since the lines will be SUPER busy (if the phone companies will even still be operating at this news). So, my last 30 minutes would be different depending on where I am.

- If I'm at work, I'd go to the basement where the walk-in safe is and just hang out listening to my music library on my phone starting with Modest Mouse's "Float On," then making sure that my last song is Joe Dassin's Les Champs Elysees. Or I'd ask one of my cute coworkers if she wants to have a roll in the hay, probably in the safe as well (I'm one of the few people who knows the combination, so privacy wouldn't be an issue).
- If I'm at home, I'd walk over to my parents' house (they live like 10 minutes away from me) and say hi, and play with the pet bunny.
- Anywhere else, I'd probably find some place quiet, and do the music thing from earlier.

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

If I'm far away from my loved ones, then crap. I'll probably won't get a chance to say goodbye to them.

But from where ever I'll be at, I'm just going to do this:

Watch one last ep of a show to past the time, then listen to a song in loop while sitting down on the trunk of a car. When the final 5 mins come in, I'll pretty much look up at the sky (no matter if burning bright or clear) and let whatever doomsday event kill me. By that time, I'll probably have enough seconds (Or Millisecond) to say "well, it's been fun", and close my eyes.
