Is the source really serious ? Because we've seen some pretty big shit from North Korea that turned out to be fake or a joke in the last year or so.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

Right now, I'm researching JoongAng Ilbo for credibility. It is a possibility that this is just speculation.

EDIT: JoongAng Ilbo seems to be a credible source from South Korea, and the site the LA Times cited comes from the official English site of JoongAng Ilbo

Wait, wait, wait, let me guess. That time where Un announced war on the States, right? Biggest load of bullshit ever indeed.

But the above article does sound like something N.Korea's regime would do (dunno about killing people for watching porn, but executing people for having a Bible, making rumours about Un's wife having an affair, or watching South Korean TV does sound like something the North Korean government would do...).

But damn, if this is true, then holy crapping shit...

Actually there were a couple of "news" that spread around. One was about how NK was airing fake Olympics results that had their teams winning gold everywhere (or something, at least defeating South Korea, Japan, USA), last year's supposed propaganda video about "how Americans live" (actually a British satire), Kim Jong Un executing his girlfriend among others, etc. People always spread it because it sounds like "something NK would do", but it turns out to be bullshit. So, caution and critical eye advised. Wait for confirmation.

Yeah, I can see that this might be a huge hoax, as it happened last year, as well.

I apologize for stirring up tragedy in the midst of it.

yah, south korea is not a credible source for nk info, even if the best case scenario; like the usa is not a credible source for cuban info.

Not blaming you, the ones I listed were spread by legit news site that completely went for it without checking their fact, it's not odd that people would fall for that :P

I understand that a bordering state is not credible for their neighbor, but me in my American ignorance believed that North Korea is secluded, and that in order to know their travesties you have to find out from somewhere else.

it's hard to find neutral sources on comunist countries; normally you ahve to crossreference things until kinda makes sense unless you got very trustworthy sources. like in the case of cuba an ex-boss of mine went there , he is the one who said "all children drink milk, no children starves in cuba", obv.at the cost of general populace poverty.
