Whew...sounds like you're working up a sweat here! Don't burn yourself out too much, ya hear? :v

Thanks for the concern, but as long as I'm having fun with it, I don't see me burning myself out. At least not yet anyway. :P I guess that's one reason you could say that I've stuck with small sprites for so long. I tried doing a couple of larger sprites (one of them being Nemesis), and while they came out decent enough, it was a LOT of work for just one sprite. If I had to do that for an entire set like that, I'd probably go mad! So I've got much respect for guys like Walt, Diepod, and Balthazar. You guys have some SERIOUS skills. :2thumbsup:

Me? I sprite like I drink. It's all about moderation and enjoying myself, not overdoing it and possibly losing my mind. :sugoi:

That they do lol. I don't know how they don't go mad when they do their spriting...I go flipping outta mine whenever I do spriting myself. @_@;;

Spriting like drinking eh? What an analogy that is lol.

Watching cartoons with my son has been rewarding in more ways than one. :) Now I'm loaded with spriting ideas! :D

After doing Nightcrawler's sprite, I decided to sprite Iceman as well. But after finishing it, I felt he was way too plain in appearance. So I did one sprite of him as he appears in earlier comics and MvC2, and another sprite of him sporting a slightly newer look with his frozen hair clearly visible.

After looking at it for a while, I started thinking it kinda looks like Gohan was frozen while firing a ki blast or something, lol.

Another tough one. I even had to use 9 colors instead of the usual 8 just to make him look good. :P I might have to do some light touch ups here and there later on, but for now, this guy is pretty much done. :D

Wait...this entire time MODOK wasn't the one I was thinking of from X-Men?? It was this guy? O_o

Or maybe MODOK was from there...I don't know anymore, but I think I remember Mojo.  Really creepy guy lol. Anywho, it looks pretty good in your 8bit style~ That face though...only a mother could love that...if even that! :v

Good to see you still doing the 8-bit sprites. They're coming out phenomenal.

Trying to make a comeback

Thanks! I'm glad you like 'em. I've enjoyed your work as well.

I've got some more sprite ideas I want to tackle, but I've got some classes I've gotta complete by the 30th. I've also got 8 more animations to complete for my original character: Deathstrike, before I can start working on his remake for M.U.G.E.N. I should at least be done with the classes by today though, so there's gonna be a bunch of new stuff coming from me after that. :D

It took me a while to adapt Alex Kidd to this style until I felt it was just right. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. :)

8-Bit Megaman styled Billy and Jimmy Lee. Based on their appearance in "Double Dragon NEON".

And while I'm at it, I decided to start spriting this as well:

:D
"Deathstrike" character (not to be mistaken with "Lady Deathstrike" of Marvel).

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been working really hard on updating my first original character: "Deathstrike". I have just a few more animations to sprite/update/finish, then I'll finally be able to begin re-coding him with the newer systems and play styles that I've made for Alex Kidd and Rockman. I've actually got a LOT planned for him in this update, and it's going to be a hell of a ride getting him there!

Ironman:

Remade Ironman's sprite. I based it off of his UMvC3 stance this time, and I'm much more pleased with the overall outcome. :)

Chris Redfield:

As the second character in my main team in UMvC3, I felt it was long overdue that I recreate him in the 8-bit style. All that's left is Wesker, and I'll have my entire UMvC3 team! :D

Deathstrike's sprites are being still being finished up, and I should start coding him very soon. His play style will be similar to Rockman and Alex Kidd's. It'll be a kind of pseudo-MvC2 style with special abilities like regeneration, optical camouflage, "branching" combos, and a "Weapon Forging" system, each with it's own benefits and risks.

Based off of his Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 appearance. :)

Wesker

Albert Wesker from the Resident Evil series. The stance is based off of his Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 appearance. And a big thanks to "Alex Sinigaglia" for making some slight color corrections to the sprite that gave me a slightly different perspective, which in turn, made me go back and fix it up just enough for me to actually be satisfied with it this time around.

Now, my main team in UMvC3 is complete (Nemesis, Chris, and Wesker, in that order)! :D

I tried to do something:

in the first one I reduced his colours to nine instead of ten; I changed his skin tones, so I used the darker colour for his eyes;
in the second and the third one I reduced his colours again to eight (the hair is linked to his sclera, the white part).

Actually, I have no idea why I didn't just do more or less the same thing. I keep forgetting that if I wanted to, I could just substitute a really light color with white for the sake of preserving the color count.

Thanks man!

And with that, Wesker's sprite is updated.
