I couldn't find anything about corrupt sff files in the sticky threads.I just now got a corrupt sff file and it just so happens that this sff file is the biggest one I've ever had too.I think I know the problem (I recently added a single image from another character because I didn't have it in my sheet), but I don't know how to fix it seeing as I can't open my sff file.Am I pretty much screwed?Oh, and it turns out I deleted my back up file while trying to get my sff to open. I deleted it because it was in my way. I wasn't paying much attention. Such misfortune...
I had that happen with Sagat, but I could open the file with FF and it would only break once I reached the sprites that had the corruption. I then used FF to save all the sprites and then re-upload them to a new file. The only good thing is I was able to keep all of the group numbers and such.I hope that info helps or that someone else knows what to do. I feel your pain man, sucks a lot.
@shamrockIf you can open your sff file then mine is different. It's saying that my file is unreadable and corrupted. I can't even move it.@ByakkoWhat is this SFFExtract that you speak of?
Thanks for the link. Now, I'm sure I used it right, but I get the same error as I do when I try to open it in FF. Just to be sure... Can someone tell me how to use it?If I have too I'll just make an entire new sff. I have a good memory.
Create a text file. Rename it sffextract.bat, removing the .txt extension.Open it with a text editor. Putsffextract -n -o atextfilewiththesamenameasyoursff.txt -i -d yoursfffile.sffin it.Put that .bat file together with sffextract in the same folder, along with a copy of the SFF. Double-click the .bat file.
@Byakko, Anjel, and shamrockThanks a lot for your help.@Julia-San~It wasn't really an error. It was more like a pop-up saying that my sff is corrupt and unreadable. But it's okay now.
