A question about giving a new palette to multiple sprites...

Let's say I have a folder of 393 sprites, all with the same palette of 20 colors. I want to give all of those sprites a new color palette, and I have an .ACT file with the palette. How do I apply that palette to all 393 sprites? Can it be done using Photoshop?

I understand that there are a couple of programs out there like sprmaker and pcxclean that are made for the purpose of changing a color palette, but I have had terrible luck getting them to work, or locating a guide for their use. I can find a lot of topics discussing sprmaker and pcxclean, but few posts explaining how to use them. Could someone please give me some clear directions, or point me in the direction of a tutorial?

With photoshop you should be able to script a function to do that.

I use Jasc Image Robot with Paint Shop pro. Thats as simple as clicking apply pallete and then selecting the pictures.

I have an odd feeling FF can in fact do it for you. But i hate the functions like that it has. They occassionally break things beyond repair. Back up first if you plan to do anything like "optimise" which i think is the feature that does it.
