Adding character icons at the select screen
#1  October 08, 2007, 04:38:41 am
for my select screen, a few characters don't have selection icons at the select screen. i have the EVE battle pack installed, and a lot of my characters do have them. but i'm basically using the characters from the Teenage Mutant Hero (blagh) Turtles: Tournament Fighters Remix from this site, and all of the characters don't have a select icon when transported over to my Mugen.

is there a way i can add character selection icons for them?

The icons have to have the same colors as the original sprite so the pallette can apply correctly to them. And then add them to the SFF file of the characters as 9000, 0 image. But since this is part of a game, it might be best you don't even try. There are TMNT characters already created that can be used for the basic MUGEN gamer's engine. Where to get them is up to you

i'm sure i'll have the time of my life searching for them. lol. i always wanted my TMNT characters to be based off the SNES version of the game rather than the Genesis (their stances looked so much better, imo), which is the version i'm stuck with at the moment.

thanks for the advice Authes! i'm guessing Fighter Factory would be the program of choice for future reference when trying this? i'm taking an interest in ripping sprites, so i'm just trying to know these things.
