EvilRyuSF'2, ShinGoukiSF'2, EvilKenSF'2 and RyuSF'2 Has been updated!!
After 1 year i made Big changes for the chars:
*New AI (thanks to trissey113)
*Fx and sounds changed
*Gameplay changed
*A lot of bugs fixed
*Some new palettes

Why does ryo turn into evil ken
I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

He's basically saying "Thanks for the chars, Guille. They're fucking great". The "fucking great" comes from PM, which is the short version of "Puta Madre". It's not an insult (before someone jumps saying it is) if it's used this way.

Kain... I speak English a little, and I fully understand your words (even though it would be best to not understand them) only this thanking Guille for the updating of their characters. The debug was on Player's Shin Gouki or CPU's Shin Gouki?

Looks like the throw is forcing KFM into a state he doesn't have.

The debugger on the screenshot says that the state is there, though maybe there's another. Also maybe the anim's sprites are not to well aligned, though that doesn't cause debug flood anyway.

At this point calling these chars SF2 in any way is pretty wrong as they have none of the gameplay plus some rather questionable "sprite edits".

Well, it's Mugen, and in the Mugen Universe exist a lot of edited chars styles, like Don Drago styles or p.o.t.s. styles, my style, nobody made this work with SF2 chars before except for the guy who made SF2 Sheng Long or zolagun & shacti (Ken Z creators) ;)

You should call them "GNR Ryu/Ken/whatever", that way more people will realize that they are custom style and also are your versions. People recognize the char's author more when they do this.

Thanks for the update GNR.

I think his labeling is fine. If I see "EvilKenSF2", it tells me that this creation will have SF2 sprites. If he used Alpha or CVS sprites, then I'm sure the char name would reflect that (EvilKenSFA or EvilKenCVS, respectively). The fact that there's actual respriting and not just a palette swap should be considered a bonus.
The title also makes it obvious that, since there was no Evil Ken in any SF2, that the gameplay is necessarily made up. His label basically says, "If Evil Ken had been in SF2, this is how I think he should have looked and played like".

There is a difference between making up gameplay and keeping similar comboability, vels, damage values, etc. and going for an altogether different feel. I don't think sprites are the only thing that make a char 'SF2'. Then again, I don't the think the chars are better or worse because of it. Just not 'SF2 styled'.

These chars have:
SF2 character sprites + Frankensprites
Hitsparks, FX and sounds from various sources
Moves beyond SF2 (i.e. Ryu's Shin Shoryuken, EX moves)
Juggling, combos and cheapness
Meter charging, parrying and air guard

So how should it be labeled? What is the dominating feature?
IMO it's the character sprites. Here's my reason. Ryu stayed virtually the same from World Warrior to Super Turbo. He learned a few new moves, sparks and sounds changed, move properties were altered, but his character sprites didn't change. What if Capcom had not switched to Alpha sprites? SF2 Ryu would have had air guard and chain combos in SFA. SF2 Ryu would have learned custom combos in SFA2. SF2 Ryu would have had to learn to guard push, super jump and shoot a beam super in the Vs series. When I see these chars, I think, These are SF2 chars, it's just that their gameplay and FX have evolved.

But that's your criteria. For me, gameplay defines what kind of character it is. Not graphics. I'm not saying it's good or bad, I just disagree. Both criteria are absolutely arbitrary, of course.

Personally, I'd go for something like 'Retro Custom Enhanced Gameplay'. It sounds waaaay cooler than 'SF2' and doesn't leave any room for misinterpretation. :)

it is gameplay, it is ALWAYS gameplay. There's a reason why we have CVSJill who uses MVC sprites, R.E. voice samples and plays LIKE a CVS character.

Jill, Ruby Heart, Hayato, etc. only have one set of sprites, so you can say, for example, "RubyHeartKOF" and know exactly what sprites you'll get. You can't do that with, say, Sagat. "SagatCVS" only hints that something about the char is CVS-related. What if I made a Sagat that plays exactly like CVS, but I used his SF2 sprites, effects and sounds???

It is ALWAYS gameplay, to YOU. It is always character sprites, to me.

GNR, based on very quick testing:
-When I have the cpu fight itself, Sagat makes a weird noise when dashing forward.
-I think there might be a little misalignment with Ryu/Evil Ryu's throws.
-Evil Ken's P throw has no discernable impact and his K throw seems to put the opp. in air recovery.
-Evil Ken's AI is very repetitive.
-The sphere that appears around the chars as they charge looks kinda bad where it's positioned now, like it goes through the floor. It might need to be positioned higher with some effects where the ball touches the floor.
-The forward/back dashes could move the chars a bit more.
