Hi.  :)

I had tried to improve my abilities. Right now I don't have enough time to work on any character (really busy, only some spriting). So, instead of let it be filled with dust, why no to test my improvement...? I don't know even if can work again in Mugen.

Here it's. I don't know if screenshots are really needed. If yes, I'll add something.

Already found a bug.

Using your God Rugal against... your God Rugal, when God Rugal #1 grabs God Rugal #2 with the QCFx2 + P Level 1, God Rugal #2 is flipped upside down and the move continues, but God Rugal #2 isn't getting hit.

Holy shit. This is really an ALPHA release? As in, pre-BETA? You're humbling yourself, man. This thing is pretty much complete. In fact, this may very well be your best work yet. It's definitely the best God Rugal for MUGEN.

I do have one small criticism, though. This actually applies to all of your characters, to my knowledge. The normal grab attempt needs a LOT more cooldown (since the only way to avoid it if you're close is to jump, you need to be able to punish it with a normal jumping attack), and it needs a range limiter. Range limiters are easy. Just put P2bodydist x < n, where n is the range, as a trigger for the hitdef.

Damn this thing is fun, though!

    Well..... I tried this rugal, I do want a god rugal that doesn't have loads of glitches in it... The only problem with this one was that Rugal should be able to go nose to nose with M. Bison...... Blow for blow.... I have Bison (ie "vega") made by phantom.of.the.server. Bison whooped this Rugal's ass. It wasn't even close.

  • The readme's movelist has a few errors. Throws are executed using 2p/2k, not F+b/F+y. It's also missing both of his aerial Lvl 1 Supers.
  • Light and Medium Vanishing Rush has an issue where if you do it at a certain distance Rugal will teleport "into" his opponent, do no damage, and then appear behind his opponent.

    This can be replicated with stupa's Training by activating the ruler and performing Light VR about 160 pixels away and Medium VR 240 pixels away.
  • There is a CLSN1 box in his taunt but it does nothing. Was it intended to be a Clsn2 or an actual attack?
  • A minor aesthetic gripe, but Rugal's feet are clearly below the x axis in his intros/taunt/walking anim/etc

I would say that too but I read Dio Brando in the list of cast members for MVC3 so this is the second stupidest shit I've read all day.

May I reiterate what I always say in release threads when stuff like this comes up.

AI does not make the character. Good gameplay does.

Why people still say AI makes the character regardless of broken mechanics is beyond me.

Hell I can say as is, it doesn't feel alpha or betaish but very very well complete.

This God Rugal was coded pretty well Hero.

Plays very solid. He plays a lil different than any other God Rugal, but that's not bad at all. It makes him stand out more.

Stringing together attacks are smooth and can be executed well.

So all and all, i'm with everyone else on this as well, this is FAR from being an Alpha

You did a good job dude.....  :)

When I first tried him, he doesn't even play nothing like an alpha at all. It's more like a complete character and I feel that it's better than Lord of the Flies's God Rugal. He feels faster and I like the FX that was used. When you said you'll improve, you really did improve. Most of the stuff is mentioned already, but I noticed the first hit of the "Genocide Cutter" (Doesn't matter how strong) is the normal hitspark and not the special slash spark. Other than that, awesome work and thanks for the release. :sugoi:

- I forgot to fix that. Uploaded wrong readme.
- I had tried to remaking Vanishing Rush not like 98 incarnation, because it was too imba. Maybe I'll just change it for 98' accurate, and that should fix that bug.
- A attack (like Shin Gouki's taunt) but I`ll add it later. Don't worry.
- I don't see that, and you're the only who had pointed that AFAIK.

That's a bit strange because Rugal doesn't have Normal Slash sparks in hi .sff file.

- SGS is a bit fast for doing 561.

- Used same velocities and damage ouput (normal) for S. Gouki, AND IT'S NOT SGS!!! IT'S LAST JUDGEMENT!!

- To prevent abuse form it, and also, not all damage values are "balanced" yet.



It's a alpha. At least for me, it's. I can't just say this is a Beta cause it would be at the level of my previous chars, also know as shit.

I used Jango's Metalman stage for an easy reference. You'll notice that Rugal's feet are have sunk into the flat stage floor.
