+ Most of his sounds are not in bad quality.
- Bad quality sound rips still exist however, like the hitting the floor sound or the Zetsumei Ougi start up sound.
- Amakusa does build rage fast but not that fast. Like, only a couple strong hits from just about any character will piss Amakusa off. In fact, a single rage fierce from a mirror Amakusa will put Amakusa into rage mode and I just tried that in source. It does not take a single hit.
- Sprite alignment is suspect in some areas.
- His hit reactions are all kinds of weird. He seems to resist hit push a little and he can't seem to floor bounce. Misao must have botched on some common1 aspects.
- Some velocities are just really really off. Like, his knee kick makes it look like he's sliding in the air.
- I am still trying to figure out how I pulled off this bug: A clone of Amakusa just spawns out of nowhere and copies your movements including attacks.

Still, as flawed as this thing is, it's better than Montana's I guess. :/
Also one of his WIP shadows is clearly Charlotte. It's like this guy has become some Silent Hill counterpart of myself making my canceled WIPS in what probably would've been in a similar level of flawed quality at the time.

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

SWEET! I do love he SS series (just wish some of the others that didn't make it here would find some way Stateside...but I digress). I certainly hope that one of his WIPs is Charlotte. Been wanting to have a good version of her. Haven't had a chance to actually test Ama yet, but judging from the pics he seems to be SS3 or SS4 ver? Anyway, thanks for the release. Misao. Looks like the other WIP shadow may be either Edward (think that his name) or Galford...?

thanks for posting it,
not that perfectly as ali chars, but it apear to be most stable ss system wise amakusa in mugen anyway. her system resembles ss V. he seems to  frequently updating his chars so no worry about the clone thing, im sure it's only first version bug.

but more im excited about, are two next his characters, scheduled for this year. seems well get finally decent Galford!!!!!!!, my dream has come true! dunno about Charlotte but Noe version is complete and very good (ss IV), so perhaps misao will go in ss V direction with his charlotte, like he did with amakusa?

Ali is nowhere near perfect. Both Misao and Ali's conversions aren't that good at replicating Samurai Shodown 5 Special. They're all just so buggy and lazy in the accuracy department.

you say so? there is nowhere anything perfectly ported into mugen so far. so i wouldnt judge them by it.  just one thing i must say, ali did, "perfectly". and it's his gaira from ssIII which perfectly emulate game system. can't imagine anyone doing it better than that. since ive played ssIII for few years, going back with memory to arcade times. so you can see my familiarity with the system is pretty damn good, trust me or not, i was REALLY positively suprised about his gaira release.

about misao, i dont know about his other ds chars, but he seems to be focusing anyway most on ssv  enja and suja, with hes doing pretty good job imo. when it comes to ds, i prefer moku felicia for instance, instead of misao.

btw how you can even blame ali for being lazy after posting multiple sss in screenshot thread with his gaira?

before they were a mess with velocities all over the place but now they feel a lot closer to the game nearly night and day

Because I too was positively surprised by Gaira. It marked a significant improvement for Ali. Like, he stopped crouching while running and Ali even payed attention to hidden little details I thought nobody ever would. Details like Gaira's run being able to no-sell one weak attack. Granted some flaws remain like misaligned sprites, careless .act color sharing, and incorrect blood sparks but it's still a lot better than the samurai shodown creations he tried before it.

As for Misao I see some improvements but his work still retains a number of recurring flaws and I am still trying to figure out how the heck I made Amakusa spawn a clone of himself off screen.
