I think we should ban guest users from viewing the forum. Why? Because they use up the forums bandwidth and resources, but they don't contribute shit to this forum. This place could save a lot of money If we just ban guest users from viewing the forum. Registering only take couple minutes, so why not? To hell with the fuckin' freeloaders! Make these motherfuckers register!

Nah, we don´t need to pull a "MFFA" for guest users, they should register only if they want. Not like this forum is lacking members anyways. mmm... bad idea.

The idea behind this suggestion isn't meant to have more members. It's meant to save on bandwidth and resources. However, even with that in mind...the admins paying/running everything don't seem to mind. If that be the case, no sense in changing anything.

Hey I was a guest before registering, I decided to register so I could comment, join the community, and now I'm making chars
Being a guest user gives the opportunity to check the place and see if they like it, and decide to register after thinking "hey, I wanna be a part of this"

thats the worse idea possible, to make a community more inclusive you shouldnt hide behind walls or act as if people from outside are riff raff. everyone is welcome.

well i don't know about you but if i go to a forum and it requieres me to register just to see what it's like then not only do i not feel welcome but i also don't feel i should not waste those couple of minutes just to see how the place is.

plus it would be a bigger dissapointment to register and then realize is not a place you want to be (no activity, terrible userbase, MI, etc)

imagine trying to check a store or restaurant and the only way yo enter was to fill a registration form first, of course "it's just a few minutes" but why should i do it in teh first place?

also, what about the times when you are away from your computer and want to check the forum but you don't want to/cannot log into your account?
