- what is your favorite fighter with digitized sprites that isn't mk
battle monsters o'course, for many reasons. it's got that bizarre charm and a lot of just plain original character designs (like kaf ka, what the hell is that guy supposed to be?)

- i might be visiting the east coast before i go back west, and will intrude on your domicile, do you think you will beat me in rival schools
awesome, and yes since rival schools is one of the like two fighting games i'm good at. hyo/akira team watch out

- what is your creative process when making the chars
i see or imagine something that i'm like 'man it'd be interesting to see them in a better coded format' or 'imagine if they fought so-and-so'. then comes writing down ideas for moves, and stalling on actually doing anything. s'been a bit hard i have to admit lol

- did you know that both the melvanas and alice in chains suck (i kid) who are your other favorite bands or types of music in general
i'm not actually sure about types of music but it seems to go between rock, funk, R&B and pop, considering amongst them are jellyfish, skull snaps, stevie wonder, 24/7 spyz and keni burke, if we're going by relatively recent discoveries (well stevie isn't recent but w/e)

-If you had to pick, The Masters Fighter or Dragon Master
dragon master, easily. at least that actually responds to controls

-How's your dog
both of em are okay. one keeps flopping all over the floor for no reason tho and i'm like 'chill'

-Out of all your dropped WIP's which one have you thought about returning too the most
either deke cay, jaoh or rasetujo

-Between three POTS-like creations and only one of Amarimono's chars, which would you choose?
after the new kosaku kawajiri that came out, the latter. he's incredibly fun

-What is your idea of fear?
honestly, telling somebody close something really personal, and them responding by turning their back on you. basically i'm comfortable with somebody after i've jumped that hurdle but it's still pretty terrifying

well i could've dailed my reception back a bit (i'm far more relaxed about this stuff than i was back then) but it's still kinda weird honestly. at least he tried

1. janis luciani (provided she gets sprites drawn of her)
2. hou-en from rabbit. just look at this dude
3. keel from golden axe the duel. done right
4. darkmater from mutant DNA; guy has a floating orb that turns into a giant shark mouth during an attack. that's really cool
5. thorsten from jackie chan fists of fire. i love that dude's moveset so much

honestly probably ASB; nowhere near as good of a game as capcom jojo technically, but it annoys me a hell of a lot less in the end

prooooooobably the former. never played the latter even though it has daisuke gouri voicing tarkus and hideyuki tanaka voicing jonathan

viper and beavis are both really really well done, i can't decide which one i like better

lots, but puyo puyo vs 2, project 64 and streets of rage remake are honorable mentions

i'd say maaaaaaybe the first two episodes. basically when it gets to the german painting thing, turn it off. the series is a host to a lot of amazing characters (balalaika is amazing), but the series has no goddamn idea what to do with any of them aside from having them sit around and hear revy complaining

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.
