i've actually played them. like, without translations or anything. much as i can gather; i pissed hyo off and kyoko fell in love with me, then i played baseball and ended up with a character who aped half of nagare's moveset

come up with your own stuff. get your own style. don't just take 90% of your sound effects and jokes from another author's work. be original

alter amiba was just kind of a spontaneous thing with no real joke behind him; his name came from me as a kid noticing all of these 'evil' and 'orochi' characters and i'm like 'i dunno why not 'alter' or something', and lo and behold

ghetto warmachine was originated by MDIsinister, and i believe was supposed to be the general summary of people you'd find in downtown chicago (don't quote me on that though). if that even was the concept it kinda got drowned out by everything else

daraku tenshi. a LOT of story potential there

no idea. fight-a-base might have something to do with it as they were the reason i found battle monsters and akatsuki blitzkampf

the former because it's a lot less cringeworthy and a lot more playable. wotw is at least respectable because it was naughty dog starting off microscopically small; the characters were filmed against a yellow sheet glued onto an apartment wall from a camera set up in the hallway. they were really ed wood'ing it

tons! let's see there's charlotte, earthquake, mizuki, zankuro, genjuro, ukyo, basara, rasetsumaru, suija, enja, amakusa, kusaregedo, ocha-maro, andrew, sankuro, yumeji, i think that's essentially the main ones

mysterious0bob, drkelexo, nori-san, cenobite53, magic toaster; probably forgot a ton of others

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.
