#1 - By being more EXTREME than the era LoL.

#2 - I liked the re-introduction of Skids. She a fun character to watch.

#3 - I liked the Sin-Eater storyline in Spectacular Spider-Man 134-136. I liked it because Max Dillon tried to stay low key for a while by not wearing his outfit, yet continued to rob places for quick money. Of course Spidey will show up to stop common criminals as well as super powered ones, which is why Max is a little bit of an idiot. He of course spanks Spidey throughout the story arc and taunting him along the way, which was fun. Of course he lost in the end because that's what villains do when they don't finish the job LoL. I scanned a few pages from the arc.

Max using a toy gun to try and hide that he is Electro.

  • As far as I can remember, it began some point around late 2006 I believe.  I was an active member at a Kingdom Hearts message board, not sure if it still exists as I can't recall what it was, and there someone posted this outdated vid and seeing a variety of characters somehow squished in one game caught my interest.  He also had a vid of Ella and Homer Simpson (not offline) that further got me examining what this "Mugen" was about.  Shame to see that series posted has no reached a decisive winner.
  • A flash drive that contains 4 Mugen set-ups that I've made.  And since a pack of compilations somehow counts as a solo creation these days, it's a legit answer!  But as an alternative, it'll be Neat Unsou's V-13 as a reminder that pseudo-accurate Blazblue in Mugen was possible.

Have you used your video editing skills for anything lately, or considered using them as a career?

How hype are you for CS1 Rags tier Nu in CP2.0?

Those two colors you used to include in every palette pack...I always wondered, what are they based on?

  • Funny thing is that I've learned some new ways to expand on editing compared to what was done on my last video.  Though I never gotten the chance to fully flesh out the idea nowadays. I've experimented on custom versus selections using rendered images and sprites and truth to be told it was frightening at what I could create when I put my mind into it that puts my public ones to shame.  But without something to go along with this style of editing, it remains in my HDD until the day I can finally pull it out.

As far as making a career out of it, I don't think I'm up on that level yet, but then again that idea hasn't be taken in consideration so I have no plans on such.  It's just a hobby in the end and I'm comfortable that way.
  • Oh so hype indeed and yet I still miss my DP Grav Seed Lamb  :(  Also hated the two-in-one Nu and I'm glad at this change.
  • The one with Bright blue hair and navy all around, and the one with purple, light yellow and pale skin theme?  Where to begin....

This was done on my earlier attempts of paletting at the time.  So like every other .act maker just learning always starts out with set color themes via existing characters because we all have start somewhere.  Those two were actually from an anime I was highly active into at the time, and so after trying out the theme, it sorta felt unique to me that I somehow got the idea of adding bright yellow FX shading to the table.  Years passed and then the two color schemes that I started out with later became less and less at what was supposed to be a reference too that it ended up as my own custom sets, even applying them to games that allow color palettes online.

As for said characters that were reference too.

  • Depending on the source games that I've put time into, currently one of my favorites is Nu-13 by Neat Unsou even though it's gameplay is from an previous version.  Others include Rajaa's SF3 works, various SNK creations, and Kazu by The_None, more I would list.  In a non-fighting game term, Umbreon by ShowBuySpirit has utilized what Umbreon learns and its stats from its source game and as it carried over to the Mugen engine, it somehow felt fresh and unique.

  • My favorite used to be Nu-13, although I've forgotten why I got into the character in the first place but was rather attached to her playstyle of endless zoning even though I've gotten hate mail for just selecting her in Calamity Trigger, lol.  I believe the closest to being a favorite is Hazama, just because of his smug attitude, insane gamestyle with fast meter building set-ups, both voice actors JPN and CS1-English were amazing, and just funny and intimidating when he needs to be.  He needs his own spin-off before the inevitable axing.

Least favorite, tie between Celica and Litchi, but more leaning to Litchi not just her gameplay but her presence in the story is just to confusing to understand (good person, bad person, good again, bad again for love).
  • I'm not too attached to Guilty Gear just yet so I haven't decided who I like and dislike until I get the hang of what the story is before starting Xrd.
  • Honestly it's hard to pick one single character that I like because the majority of the roster is memorable to me.  Like Hakan, Zangief, Juri, Dictator, Ryu, Karin, etc.  As for dislike, I haven't seen a character that makes me wish their existence was removed from the series, and if yet there are a few to name like Abel that I just don't like but fond of their gameplay.  Don't know why.
  • Lots to list.  Kim Kaphwan for being a psychopathic enforcer of justice in his own wacky methods, Ash Crimson because of some reason his attitude and appearence caught my interest, Ikari Team, Garou team, basically like 75% of the entire cast, heh.  Least favorite, don't know yet in terms of involvement in the story and gameplay. I believe the closest has to be Alba due to the concept and everything else.
  • Pandora palettes are okay because the concept is simple.  "MvC3" or whatever shading applied, eh.

  • OTG in order to play basketball.
  • Jin is just happy he has someone to celebrate Christmas!  What occurs at the point is yet to be seen.
  • Palette choices were always atheistic selections and very rarely I pick one for a unique scheme alone.  I think the only time was back in 3rd Strike with Ken's hidden tan color.  I love that one even though mashing was the only way to play back then.
  • Hmm, overrated...I believe none for me to be honest.  Everyone has their own taste for sprite arts.  But as far as underrated goes it'll have to be Power Rangers Fighting Edition sprite style.  You would think a custom Zord would benefit from this kind of sprite art.
  • Nope.  Little to no interest.

  • Apparently so, just now.  Turns out DynamicPunch Dusknior is only possible via 3rd Gen teaching and that somehow flew off my radar.  Fortunately, after that one I'll never go back there.  BUT there a couple of Defog users that is in need of a gathering and exclusive from Gen 4 (which I STILL have yet to finish after 11+ months in idle), so.....
  • No Joseph Joestar as the focus and not a sidekick is of no importance of mine because he is my Jesus.  I shall however look into Rohan's dynasty after Part 3.
  • Playstation 1 DualShock, here me out.  It's simple to adept, inspiring for crafting, future Dualshocks retain the layout while adding new details, and to this day the DS1 is still used by a small minority which one of its members won a major international Fighting Game tournament showing the world you don't need to shell out for modded fightsticks for the sake off tournament success when all you need is the old fashion DualShock of the Sony brand.  Thank you Sony.

Potentially less active in trophy hunting (Sony acheivements, see PSN) to the point of "retiring", carrying out with a new job probably with a tech company, but the most important is much freedom in traveling to places after having an experience with traveling to Venezuela last year alone.  That alone is how I see myself in the future.

  • First-person shooters hence why I tend to avoid them nowadays.  I'm just not that good at the whole system with the perfect aiming part as I fear it will always miss.
  • In terms of first exposure to the genre, I believe it began with Virtua Fighter when I was 4, and why I still remember the exact location is a mystery to me.  Fine times just mashing away with Jacky and Akira and never gotten past Kage.  In fact that series itself just stayed with my until the 2000s when Rival Schools in '98 was perhaps the biggest influence I have.

As for the firstly owned, it was Killer Instinct for the SNES that I remember being intimidate by Spinal's existence on the bonus CD, as well as the still portraits of Sabrewulf and Eyedol whenever the "Supreme Victory" portion comes by.  The second with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Fighting Edition, I was a huge fan of the Rangers in that era and just kept begging for get that game, lol.
  • Hmm....how to answer this.....

Well, depending on how skilled you are with multiple types of genre, how well you adapt to the situation of the difficulty, and how much patience and time you are willing to put for the sake of getting that one trophy, collecting trophies are in the end, optional.  If you cleared the main bulk of the game, the trophies are there should you want to go for a much higher challenge, but they aren't a mandatory thing that begs you to complete for the sake of completion.

I go for the completion because I want to see how well I adapt in different situations (Assassin Creed Brotherhood was an interesting thing that I had to go solo just to clear the online trophies because boosting groups are unreliable sometimes).  And sometimes it pays off because when I look at them I'm reminded at the different types of gaming challenges I've gone through.  Trophies are just there, nothing special, just something to remind you of the routes you've gone through.  And yet, thanks to this, I started to join the Playstation Trophy community and made stuff such as this under the same alias as my PSN ID (except Kanji, his strategy was braindead to do).

No one should feel discouraged if they are incapable of clearing all trophies of a game, just move on to the next game you want to play.  You beat the game, get the secret ending, fiddled with DLCs, and you're done unless it has online or you want to go the extra length of completion or just keep it for the hell of it.

As for the question if I hadn't answer yet, it depends on what you play.  I'm planning to go for Metal Gear Solid series next in 2015 since I'm planning to go in chronology release order that spreads out to series (and MGS4 was one of the earliest) and I've heard it's challenging from the forums.  This is something that peaks my interest.  Some games have easy Platinums, others depending on genre preference, grinding time, etc.

And if at some point I were to be less active in this forum, then I'm most likely migrating fully on the PS3T place.
  • Yes, grew up with Toonami in the 90s.  Earliest anime other than DBZ I recall was Gundam Wing/G Gundam, Sailor Moon (I think it was part of it because it was also one of the first animes I've watched, can't remember), and Tenchi Muyo series.
