Technically I never did. I've always wanted to make a Darkstalkers game. When I 1st found MUGEN we had all those stupid creator rights so I wasn't supposed to use just anyone's already ripped sprites. So I had to learn how to rip them. Once me and Joram stumbled onto the artmoney method I was already neck deep in creator rights activists not wanting me to share sprites, not teaching others how to do the same, etc.

Basically at that point I became the anti creator's rights. Ripping everything just to spite the opposition. Now the only reason I'm ripping is to legitimately contribute and make my DS project more accurate. This time I think it may see the light of day because I've commissioned Rajaa to create me a DS template using Bishamon so that the system and other universal DS mechanics are already hardcoded and all I have to do is program the unique moves. Does that answer well?

Ukyo by Mikenuko. I can't even begin to describe how horrifyingly botched that thing is. Only full motion video would do that disaster justice but even Mikenuko knows how bad it was so he took it offline (While strangely keeping his other horrible characters).

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

Combofiend probably. He's the closest thing to Yipes that the West Coast has plus he's kind of handsome. Mike Ross is hella cute but sucks at fighters so I can't say him!

If the community dropped the possessive attitude on the average like the Guild here (especially when considering the sheer volume of 'unoriginal material' being used and the minor hypocrisy in trying to claim it), you could imagine the overall increase in progress, entertainment and enjoyment we'd likely see.  Props for not buying into the pride over progress noise.

It's better I learned anyway. Most everyone's sprites from Capcom games were ripped HORRIBLY XD Axis all over the place!

The only thing about the creator's rights movement I actually found later on was the part about doing your own work. But only if it hasn't already been done accurately XD

If it's already accurate, just build off of it. I see no sense in the same tasks being done countless times over again by various people. It's all about production speed.

It's gonna be a while. I've done all the characters so all that's left is objects and backgrounds which I'm gonna wait on because they're hard and the programming is more important.

I do have a few surprises that I might get around to showing off eventually...

@Walt, what was your first mugen character you ever downloaded? and do you still have you first character you downloaded today in your mugen?
