Most of you are probably familiar with the ask a user thread. Otherwise this thread really doesn't pertain to you much =p
It started as a random chat thread, then walt turned it into a spotlight thread of sorts where you ask a specific user only. This last 3 people before walt was away for a bit and it was decided that the person asking the questions should get a chance to pick the next person.

Now, to be sure this is fair for most people we should set up some rules for the thread. Throw some options on the table. I'll turn this into a poll and we'll use the results to make the rules.

I'm for there being a more user specific time frame. Give it 2 or 3 days from the time they get picked to start asking questions. If no questions are asked then another user is picked.

And I think 7 days for a cap is fine.

I also think picking someone that has already had a turn should be fine but I don't know how long it should be since the last time.

I think there should be a limit to how many times a person is allowed to ask questions from one user. Most of the questions XGargoyle answered were from Saohc, and they were pretty terrible questions.

I think it should last 3 days (if the person hasn't logged in by then to answer anything, give it a full week and then move on); no one who's previously been selected should be picked again (we can revist this way down the line), and the last person picked should pick the next person.

I'm against this, the answers pop ups new questions in our heads.

  • Are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Quickest way to kill a fun thread is making rules.

I think so, but isn't Regis Philbin already married?

2-3 days is fine. there should be no limit to how many questions a user can ask. if xgargoyle wants to answer chaos's 50 average questions then that's his decision

  • Does this looks like the face of mercy?
but if the time is too short it might not give some people time to ask what they want as in

"oh man i was busy and missed the chance to ask [E] what it feels to grope a middle schooler's butt in a crowded train"

which would be worst because:
no one who's previously been selected should be picked again
how about instead make it as "someone who has been previously selected cannot be picked again in a certain period of time"

Fine, I'll slow down my output of questions.

Educating myself about other people is stupid then.  The same will probably apply in the workplace.

Working on personal projects and spending less (non anime watching) time on internet.

You're just going to have to PM me if I get chosen
for the question thread.

I'm trying to remember the last time I was in a train... it felt great for I was in elementary school (and yes, how the fuck did you know she was a middleschooler ?)

acting as if asking people stuff is "educating" yourself or some sort of scientific analysis will always be met with derision because it is a ridiculous statement.
you dont "analyse" people, you socialize with them.

  • all is love in fair and war
how about people just a single question per post, and no double post
this is ask a user/ real person thing not a grocery shopping.
imagine if you meet someone in person and want to ask something, it would also be one question at a time.

i just assumed it since middle schooler's butts are more appealing since elementary schoolers are too hard to reach and high schoolers are already been gropped by middle aged men. also, BASED [E]

i dont know about other things youve said but that was pretty awful
i remember once saying something similar to what i said here and you reacting in a similar way. i dunno
because you are a bad person isn't it obvious.

I think what Titiln suggested sounds the best imo. No one's obligated to answer the questions. So if anyone is annoying you, just ignore said questions. 7 days sounds like a long time to be getting asked questions. 3 days sounds like a nice middle point for it all. I suppose with a few extra grace period days, in the sense of if said user isn't active at the time. Once 5-7 days have passed, and said user hasn't responded, it's on to the next one.

  • Fuck You.
it's weird that this is a thing when there should really be no rules to pertain to a recreational thread idk man

i also think if the person gets tired of asking questions they should just pass the baton like usual, idk man
i cant count the reasons i should stay

one by one they all just fade away...
