That first line is so cheesy.
It makes me so angry that I want to climb a bunch of buildings and then stab someone in the neck with a crazy extendo-knife thing.

Amazon U.K. has revealed an updated cover for the Playstation 3 version of the upcoming multiplatform title, Assassin’s Creed III. The box art now includes a banner advertising the Playstation 3 exclusive contents in the open-world action-adventure game, which “includes 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay.”

Did that just say one hour of gameplay exclusive to the PS3 ? What the hell ?

Then again, Brotherhood also had exclusive missions.

This is why I think Altair/Ezio/Conner may be in All-Star Battle. But an hour of gameplay (depending on how long the game is) is a bit much, even Brotherhood's was maybe 15 minutes at most if you sucked at them.

sooo apparently Assassin's Creed 3's ending treads into the Mass Effect 3 area of endings. what to think, what to think...

Probably ends with another cliffhanger, and people are overreacting. I refuse to believe anything the writers cooked up can come close to the ending of Mass Effect 3... although that would be funny as hell if it happened here.

I had a feelin' it might end up cliffhangery, but I'll leave that judgement for when I finish it. The game itself is pretty good, but I have to question them on their new aiming system for guns. It used to be so good.

I find AC3 to be much closer to the first AC than the Italian series, the characters are less interesting and it tries too hard to sell us that the villains were trying to be good - I have nothing against that but it handwaves the obvious (shooting at the crowd, shooting Indians when they don't want to sell their lands = no, sorry, you're not here to bring peace, why do you even try to convince me)
It's also filled with small glitches, both visual and in the gameplay. Connor's model disappeared once in a cutscene, enemies started walking on air while fighting on an oblique ground, I got unable to climb or walk on something I should have been able to on several occasions, some climbing action requires you to have that one perfect angle of approach and you slip and fall if you're off by half a step, a cutscene event that should have let me continue with the story never happened despite reaching the point I was supposed to go to (no other condition beside being there) even after going back and forth around it, actions resetting out of the blue (a character that was doing something to let me go on with the story zipped back to the beginning of his movement)...
The side mechanics like hunting, poaching, developing your HQ and your boat are better than I expected, but there's no incentive to do it, you're not pushed into it. You can just walk through the main story without doing any of it - I haven't done any selling or buying at all, I'm not interacting with the guys in my HQ once I have them join, I'm not developing my Assassin recruits, and I'm doing nearly no side mission.

The story really feels like they picked the American revolution and then said "let's put an Assassin in this". It's nice that they really wanted to take him out of the Americans vs British politics by making him an Indian who simply wants to protect his people, and he makes friends only because it serves him and they just happen to be George Washington, but it looks much too forced.
So far the only thing I get out of it is the great plot twist at the end of the first part (you start the game with a different character)
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.
