I had a feelin' it might end up cliffhangery, but I'll leave that judgement for when I finish it. The game itself is pretty good, but I have to question them on their new aiming system for guns. It used to be so good.
Yeah... so I finished it. It's ME3 all over again...

I'm not sure how I feel, I mean, how do you follow up a sequel now? The game was very meh though and not the same leap AC1 to AC2 was, nor did they keep alot of stuff added in Brotherhood and Revelations.

@Riccochet - at least in ME3 you can CHOOSE your crappy ending.

I'm not sure how I feel, I mean, how do you follow up a sequel now?
The answer lies in the ending of AC:3 Liberation on the PS Vita. Also, in THE TRUTH from Subject 16 in AC: Brotherhood. I'm not even kidding.

There will be a sequel, of this I'm sure.

Whats the point of the whole node hacking thing after the epilogue and main story? Is it just to unlock cheats?
Apparently yes, when you're finished, Shaun just says "we've done it, great !" and then nothing. Dunno why it synchronizes online for, though. Or why it needed to get online at the beginning to boot with.
Also, in THE TRUTH from Subject 16 in AC: Brotherhood.
I've seen it, but I don't remember what part of it ties to this ending ? Been a while since then.

Oh, I dunno about that, none of the portable games have had any relevant impact on the overall story. I wouldn't bet on it being any more than fanservice (even if it's nice to finally have a woman, and even to have it be parallel to AC3 itself).

I'm pretty disappointed with the overall story (this game and also the way it fits with the others), it's a little above AC1 but below AC2 for me, but I did like the whole Homestead developing part. Certain aspects of this game I thought I wouldn't like turned out to be the better parts of it.
I also wanted to say, there are a lot of sidequests that get dumped on me and the game just assumed I'd know what to do and where to go, but it's lost in the menus and I have infos that pop out on the screen and I have no idea what they're for. Sometimes I don't even see the optional objectives and when I make a mistake the game tells me I failed that bonus and whatnot and I'm all what the fuck. The increasing amount of retarded glitches don't make it any easier, either.

It doesn't "tie in" per se, it's just a hint that added up to the Liberation ending can tell you where this is might be going.

The first spinoff for PSP wasn't even canon AFAIK, it was kind of an Abstergo simulation or something of the sorts. And I don't know what's going on with any spin-offs of the Ezio saga ... but Liberation is indeed a numbered game, which releases relevant info in the ending.

Just youtube both if you've already finished all AC3, so it doesn't spoil anything for you. It's just an assumption, but a fairly strong based one, given the words used, and an idea that is reinforced all through out the game with biblical references.

So Liberation, is it any good ? Story-wise, gameplay-wise ? I took a look at the ending on Youtube and it's boring. There's a vague idea of something that could potentially be done, but not much indication that they'll actually use it (and it doesn't even mean much, just that they could do something more).

So in the end, what do you think, guys? Is it worth buying it right now, or should I wait a little so the price lowers?

If you really enjoy the story and don't want to be spoiled pick it up quickly. They also have another update coming in before the PC edition that will fix more problems, like the finicky climbing.

Yeah that's my main complaint right now. The climbing/free-running is NOWHERE near as tight as Brotherhood, and wtf is up with some of it? I didn't know they could levitate 20 feet through the air sideways to grab a ledge. Assassins are so Jedi right now.

There's one thing that surprises me while watching some videos about this game. There's no footprints when you walk on the snow. Is it really hard to create such effect?

Something like taking damage while swimming through icey waters got cut, so I imagine proper snow physics one way or another would of been it given more time. The way snow works though it does leave  trail like hes sloshing through it and dragging his legs across it rather then taking actual steps.

They probably didn't bother separating the case where he's waist deep in snow from the case where he's just stepping on it. Though there are missions where you follow footsteps in the snow, so they did prepare something for it. They just decided to forget about it.

Yeah I've done something similar as well. You would figure that if the AC2 team has been making this since they released AC2 and let a different team do all the others.....well....you'd figure this game to be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better polished and contain more content.
