If you're like me, you'd have known that @dantarion has been working on an online frame viewer for Under Night In-Birth EXE: Late, which was published on PS3 by Arc System Works.
Today he got hit with a C&D, here's links and type:

Quote
At the request of ARC System Works I have removed the hitbox viewer.
They requested that I remove not only all artwork from my site, but also all framedata, hitbox data, and information about move properties.

They also requested that I remove tournament footage from my youtube, linking me to URL's I embedded on my blog.
These videos were not uploaded or recorded by me, and are normal footage of a small UNIEL tournament I attended in Socal (I got 2nd with Merkava, shake the baby!)

Please follow me at @dantarion, and thanks for the feedback and support!

I really appreciated the response I got from making this tool for the public,
I may not be a nationally ranked player, but I enjoy making a difference in the FGC community by
creating tools and informational websites for players when said information is not available from the developer.

Now I know if I was a direct target I would have shat myself too, but as someone who can appreciate his efforts I can't sit idly by.
SO.  I'm going to teach all of you everything.

Step 1: Acquire game files
If you've done this before you know how dead simple this is.  Since the game is available as a digital download, all you need to do is set your PC up as a proxy server, and tell your PS3 to connect to the internet with your PC as the proxy.  Once you do that, download the game from your PS3 as normal.  You will be able to snoop the traffic, and see that there is a plaintext url to the PSN store that you can just click to download the game.

Step 2: Unpack game files
http://www.aldostools.org/ps3tools.html done
At this point you should have access to all assets other than the character data.  Nothing is encrypted, you just need to unzip some of the .tar.gz containers.

Step 3: Unpack character files
After you unzip the containers in the PackFile/data/ folder, you'll be left with a file for each character that ends with .pac
All you have to do now is open these bad boys up.  Here's the recipe.
Don't know what to do with that?  Plug it into QuickBMS.
You now have access to everything.

Ugh we better back up everything on JNP.com in case ASW starts going crazy attacking more fans/supporters.
This is ridiculous.

For not having the ability to set up my PC as a proxy, these damn files took a little more work to find than I anticipated.

All I'm getting are the effects. Am I missing something? I followed your instructions pretty closely.

.VAG is either a container file for sounds, or a sound file itself depending on who uses it.  In UNIEL, they are actually renamed MSF files.
So you take one of those files, change it from .vag to .msf, the VGMstream codec will be able to play them back.
