The Irate gamer cannot act. He tries so hard to be funny and just fails.

You're right. The first time I seen him, I said he was a AVGN rip-off too. He knows this. Which is probably why he disabled the comments on most of his videos.

To be honest, why make a poll? It would have been better off if you simply made this a "Discuss Irate Gamer Thread", instead of a poll which your actual post made one sided.


When I saw IG a while back, I saw a few reviews, and thought he was passable enough. Granted, I may have watched his stuff for a day or two. He didn't hold my attention long enough for me to have become a regular viewer. AVGN had me hooked. Armake21 had me hooked. SpoonyOne had me hooked by my balls (SO is my favorite reviewer next to Armake and PlayItBogart). IG was just... meh.

I'm not a part of this Anti-IG movement, however. I'm literally unable to care much about it. The whole thing Bores me.

i find both pretty boring but the avgn guy has made some funny stuff outside the avgn character

Even I'll admit AVGN, as a character, is pretty much one dimensional. I do like his stuff, though.

I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

Indeed. I haven't been watching AVGN as much after Nostalgia Critic pwned AVGN with his own video game review. More and more it looks like he's trying to make his yelling more... intense, but it's just not working.

One thing I love about the Angry Video-Game Nerd aka James Rolfe is the fact that he has shown his "true" self and expresses how he does his character purely to entertain. Most people who "review" games on Youtube tend to seem like cocky assholes when negatively reviewing a game. AVGN on the other hand, is just doing it for fun, and he is actually a pretty old school gamer.

Oh man, I can't believe I forgot about him. I mean, he's made game review without actual game footage acceptable.

I like Spoony for his overall style and the fact that he does one thing I tend to do often: Make a bunch of obscure references, sometimes employing a MST3K style. Except his is relavant and funny.

Armake for his real RAGE and general style.

PlayitBogart also has a good style.

I remember seeing a video of Armake21 and one or two other guys watching a guy review Smash Bros Brawl.

8-9 minute video. Most of it were menus.

Also my reviewer of choice is Spoony One.

For AVGN, that's the whole point of his "character". He's an angry video gaming nerd bashing old games and being overly profane about it.

Irate is, well... if you don't like AVGN then you probably won't like Irate. I found him unimpressive myself.

I watched all their episodes and here's my summary...
AVGN makes so much hilarious reviews and MOST of them are awesome. Example....SUPER MEGA DEATH CHRIST 2000 VS SATAN!!! NOW THAT SCENE WAS EPIC! and also...he perfectly acted like a Angry Nerd.

IRateGamer?...I find it boring....There are some originality like Ronnie or Evil Twin but...They're pretty much ANNOYING than funny. Some of his reviews are the same like AVGN except Predator or Yo! Noid. Except clasics he reviews also the newer ones....But then again he FAILS to make ppl laught:
"...and get me sandwitch bitch!"(I don't remember a episode but it's a game for Wii) and that supposed to be funny?...I'd rather change it into: "...and stop reviewing games and to be funny...YOU FAIL IT!" THEN it'll be funny!

So my vote goes to AVGN...
