I cannot believe that the guy who was so adamant the the Japanese games industry is dead and finished because developers keep recycling the same ideas without doing new things is now trying to make his career making nothing but blatant Mega Man clones.

Game still looks good but Inafune needs to cut down on the hypocrisy

Like how Owen Wilson does shitty comedy movies so he can do serious roles in Wes Anderson movies.

Also, weren't people demanding new Megaman games? He can no longer make "Megaman" ones, but he's creating new mythos and trying out new mechanics with less backlash from the established MM fanbase.

As a whole, the world of games will benefit from this creativity, and new franchises.

Just because it's the same type of game doesn't mean this is unoriginal. It's like complaining about a new fighting game just because it's yet another fighting game, without even knowing if this new game has unique and innovative concepts and systems and storytelling and stuff.

Looks more like a continuation of the ZX games if anything. Either way this definitely looks more interesting to me then Mighty No.9. Very cool.

They did exactly what I wanted. Give him back his braided hair while still covering his midriff.

Now I'm wondering if they actually have a spritesheet of him without the braid (Although the braid is probably a different entity altogether like Zero's hair in the megaman games, making it easier to remove it without needing to redraw all the frames).

It was discussed in the mighty no 9 thread. No big deal though, it fits in both really.

I was excited at 1st because I thought it was dlc stages for azure striker gunvolt. I didn't really care too much for mighty gunvolt. Then again 8-bit megaman didn't grow well with me.
