(but I guess it would be fair to do his hair in 1 flat color, as they've done with Haohmaru (in CvS at least),
I think that was due more to the fact that there was only room for two black colors in his palette, and the light black would probably look weird. Of course, I could be wrong, because Joe's hair is only 2 colors but they had a whole bunch of browns from the skin to work with there...

Oh! There's Benimaru, his hair is made of 3 colors. :S

Out of curiousity, as to the Other option....just how off the main Z-Fighter team or villains would you want to go to make characters of?  Because it would be rather cool to see Videl, or even Pan.  Not everyone's first choice, understandably, but just wondering if they ever came to mind.

An off-beat character like Videl would be interesting :) I am pretty sure we can take any character from the series, and turn them into an interesting mugen fighting character ^^! However, I will most likely do at least a few more main characters before anything like that.

But, in the older Samurai Showdown games, it was the same case: Hoah's hair was made from a single flat color.
The only exception are the sprites from his Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, which's hair is shaded with 3 colors.
ps. that SS3 stance animation is still fucking awesome after all these years :D

Finish gohan dorkmeister! He has way too much done on him to loose out and koopakoot is a great coder >:C

Also I personally would want piccolo. Trunks should have a sword for some moves, even if its not on him at all times, it could be used on some basics and be stashed in hammer space.


Diepod broly is a must.

Yeah, i would like to see Gohan finished too, its to much work to waste (but also understand what makes you want to cancel it)

Hammer space? No, that's idiotic. Just have Trunks store the sword on his back like in the source, so for normals that don't use the sword, it'd stay on his back, and the ones that do use the sword would have a lot of startup (because he'd have to unsheath the sword first), which would balance out the range of those attacks.

Voted for Broly.
It would be really good to see that giant overpowered bastard boss in Z2 style! It would be definitively be troublesome to do his sprites, but since in the series he is almost unstoppable, he could be given a slight superamor (like Hulk or Juggernaut), saving a couple of gethits animations. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, he doesn't usually try to block attacks, so this added to superarmor could save some work (although I really hope he could still be hit by Goku's kaiyoken or similar heavy moves).

If Broly is not chosen, then I'd pick Piccolo. As said, is not a saiyan, has different original attacks and could combine moves from all the sagas.

But first, it would be nice if you released Gohan, even if it's an incomplete beta, just because as said, it would be a waste not to release it after all the work done on him.

Lastly(I swear), any plans for a little update on Satan? Nothing too serious, only a Z2 style sprited portrait, a japanese pack, a taunt and broke back animations? (okay, maybe I'm asking for too much...)

Perfect Cell for sure. The most badass villain of DBZ to me. And also it would be cool to have Z2 villain, now that we will have goku and vegeta.
I am sure you would create great Perfetc Cell, yeah I remember that avatar of yours where you demonstrated his sprite. Impressive really.

I think Broly might end up winning the vote, but I still think you should make Piccolo before Broly because of the various reasons everyone's already said as well as diversity in gameplay. THEN Broly, or Trunks if you don't make him lazily. Before you even touch any of these characters though you need to finish Gohan.  :grrr:

I'm sorry, but Piccolo is just epic. Also, the first STRONG rival he had(same as his father), so he should be done IMHO :) .

trivia :
on sbdz he had two alt swords, an ancient japanese sword and a futuristic laser sword


2nd trivia
budokai 3 had an armored suit for him that still included his sword.
