 Originally a hi-res Hentai character, created by MmmMuchi as "Draculina", she quickly gained popularity for her more twisted, yet beautiful Anime/Manga inspired spriteing style.
 However, due to her being incomplete and her highly graphic nature, both she and MmmMuchi have never had the proper release they earned. This project is dedicated to, quite possibly, the most impressive female vampire character in mugen yet seen. That said, I present to you-


Whats been done?
All sprites have been color separated with Smartpallet.

Graphic animations have been redone or edited.
All wins (5) and intros (3) completely reformatted and randomized.

Whats next?
New Taunt
New Portraits
More win/intros
Tighten up the codes
Trim down the sound file.
Recode a few more attacks

So Draculina is getting a re-vamp, huh? (No pun intended)

This seems really interest, since the sprites looks very good and the coder for this is an interesting choice. Would like to see how this will do at the end. Good luck!

Also on the portrait: Looks good.. but... what are you going to use that for, since it uses Smartpallet? (If it's a custom portrait for a lifebar, I understand. As a big portrait.. yeah... idk)

Some of the palettes really don´t complement that black outline and some really look bad with those super contrasting highlights (especially on the blacks) and some palettes lack contrast in some parts. The smart palette is really outstanding thought.

Yeah, the black likes do make things a bit scetchy, but eh, it'll work till a better one comes along, options are always a good thing in mugen. Big thanks for the heads up.

I'm iching to see what the pro-pallet makers have up their sleeve for hear smartpallet honestly. Pallet makers need more respect in mugen.

Yes, that's a label you should remove. There will be no NSFW stuff, there's no need to put that there. You can clarify in the opening post that the original was an NSFW char. Also, just Bathory works. Once again, all that stuff can be cleared up in the opening post. If people would like to know her origins.

I tought it kept the naked palette, which still could qualify as nsfw, but now that you mention it, it's still misleading as people will think she has the really nsfw stuff.

I just said it without the intention of "puns" whatsoever. :P

Also, Remilia and Flandre (from Touhou) are vampires. I think Jedah is one, but I'm not too sure (always thought he's some kind of a demon who rips himself apart).

I'll just see how this whole thing will go on. As of now, try to think of a different thread title (and remove the NSFW label while you're at it).

Savior of VAMPIRE as in the game name. Vampire is the game name in japan.

Jedah is antichrist archetype, with quite a lot of grimreaper, race wise he is a demon.

BUT talbain is not a werewolf, he is a wyvern and Demitri is considered a bat demon, so its not exactly like they are precises in darkstalkers.

Morrigan and Demitri aren´t vampires. Morrigan is a succubus, a demon that drain the life energy of an individual through seduction. I´m not quite sure what demitri may be, he looks like a vampire but if he´s a demon...

I would think that the term Vampire/Zombie they are using there is a bit broader definition. She is a ghost. She can pass through things (like her clothing) in a ghostly manner and her power is even contained by the spirit ward that is her sister.

Looks great. Nice job. I had noticed that on some of the sprites you had made for her, that they looked a bit off, in terms of shading. Like too bold of contrast. Like the above intro pose. Though this attack here is very well done.

Here's an idea:

What if this character could temporarily summon that sword by expending power? Instead of just having a sword for an attack or two, she could have it summoned for about 30-60 seconds by expending a significant amount of the power bar?

The upshot would be that the sword techniques would be easier to execute. The downside would be that they wouldn't give as much power back from damage. So it'd have to be a move that you'd need to use when you think it's necessary during a fight, meaning you'd have to budget your power bar.

Also,

what if when the sword is not summoned, moves like the aerial succubus attack are easier to execute, whereas the sword techniques are harder to execute? This may reduce the button-mashing a bit with her character.

Essentially this might make Draculina: Bathory into a bit of a Princess Zelda/ Sheik or Samus/Zero Suit Samus type of fighter.

I figure this might not be so hard to do since there are already sprites and animations for the attacks and this would really involve just adding the sword (or a sword) to her poses to signify the different modes.

Redux of this Idea:

Unarmed Mode:
Bathory's magic attacks and unarmed attacks are easier to execute (shorter button combinations).
Bathory's vampiric attacks are easier to execute.
Bathory's sword attacks are harder to execute (slightly longer combinations, but these tend to be her more powerful attacks anyways)

Sword Mode:
Bathory's sword attacks are easier to execute.
Bathory gets a temporary bonus to defense and HP to compensate for the now truncated moveset of hers. Sacrificing unpredictability.
Bathory's magic attacks are harder to execute.
Bathory's vampiric attacks are harder to execute.

Switching Modes:
Switching between modes costs let's say 1000 power.

Oh, and maybe a Bayonetta type attack might be fun and sexy to incorporate too >3<
