Same like the original screenpack, has 28 slots with patch 60 slots and 150 slots.

@abls1 I think maybe for the select screen image you post that use all the custom port so people will see how it really look like. About your winquote font, did it have .,'?! or just a alphabet?

I never imagine this screen pack would that much excitement so i must protect from the unthinkable nightmare of many creators "harddrive crash"  i will start saving my work  on the cloud

Check it. I don't really know, maybe you are already working like that.. If you use renders, on another layer of picture, you are able to put animations of the render!!
Like that, you could probably make some circle animation of the logo, like turning on itself, you see what I mean?
Just saying, maybe it will help you.

I probably can do that, the images that i created are not final and i keep everysingle background so all i have to do is find the turn code and add this new one which looks better that the one i have question does this image a transparent background?

Yes it is transparent background, like that you can animate on every picture you want! It's called a "render".

I've check with your image but it looks grey?  there is something going on with the image processing. I also tried other images and the colors do not change

Human did not include the patch for the select screen so only the default number of characters will display so you need to add extra character slots on the .def file to about 200 total

There is people working on portraits as we speak, I'm looking to add some animation with the help of others I'm hoping to add smoke fire spark effect to select screen

I think NoZ wanted to say that you should work more on your select screen. Big portraits are too big for small ones, and they are too few visible. You should make a "background" all around the small portraits, to make it really nice.

I think you should remake our versus v2. Portraits are not entire, and it looks a little bit strange. for the 2 bars, you could add some movement from left to right, for both, then a stop, then a movement.. It could looks like a factory, you see? Then just some little flares that pops around after moving and during the moving.. It could looks fantastic!!

You got great design ideas. Don't take bad my words, I really think this project got potential to become a good screenpack.

Big portraits will stay big, small portraits are few visible so will work on more so people have an idea what this will look like... the issue is that i'm still working on screenpack and adding more characters to it will slow down the loading of the screen pack

All screen will get some type of effects fire,smoke or sparks not sure if mugen can do all the effects also iIm not a professional and even getting someone to really help me with stuff like that is hard.  I can forsure add movement of the bars but stoping adding more effects i cannot do

For the VS. screen, you should add some type of overlay to the center to hide the bottom & top edges of the renders because it doesn't look good when the renders just "end".

No, I'm talking about the edges of the renders. I circled them so you can see here:

Do you see how the renders just abruptly end? No fade-out. No overlay to cover the edges. It doesn't look good (imo)
I'm not trying to bash your work, I'm just making a suggestion.

I see your idea but the issue with putting the font inside the bars will make the characters name hard to read and to be able to i will have to add some background which will throw me off the design

I came up with taller chars using large ports. I removed character names so i can see properly how to place in screen.

I can scale up or down if when i scale uf its a couple of pixels too high then i can place the bars in front.  Now that i see my concept looks boring so i will work on something similar to what Reck posted

Well, regarding not being able to see the character's names, I would suggest using another color variant for the font to make it stand out better, But it's up to you in the end. As for the pixels being to high, you can always trim them down a little without having to change scaling. (as long as it doesn't cut their face out)

It's ok if you want to stick to your vs screen but like Reck say, put something to cover the edge of characters port. Here some example:-


I put a black line to cover the characters port so it will not look like the port just been cut off. If you can come up with something like this, I think is already good. This is just an edit to show you, you can try add different type of line or even something else to cover the characters port.

Ok so i will go back to the old design i can shrink the ports a little ,make the vs a separate image, move a layer forward and scale differently and add the line i will look for something that fits if i can not find anything they i will work with black blurred one

Thanks to @AntM that work very hard to remove the image  Now if you guys can suggest a sky to be used as a scrolling background it must be at least 2x the width of 1280 or 2590 px.

I'm also like Reck concept for vs screen. You say you will try to do that concept too so if can try it to. Like Reck said, you can change color for font name if you want to make it visible.

For the sky, I don't have any example but I suggest do some dark sky since this screenpack theme is Biohazard. You know, a sky look like a apocalypse/destroyed world.

Oh wait, it is just me or the font name "SPIDERMAN" look kinda awkward because it was in the middle? I think you can move a bit to the right, make it the font name for player 1 (I assume the Spiderman is player 1) is above the "DANGER" font. Because for "DRAGON CLAW" font look okay on the left side under the "SHOCK" font so it will be better/more balance I think when you does like that. It's kinda weird for me when player 1 name in the middle while player 2 name on the left side...no fitting in my eyes.

The issue with moving the names is that some characters have very long names.  I will test once i implements  to screenpack.

Update: 
Animated sky background added now i have to tweek the cloud scrolling speed.
Maybe the game over will  be animated slowly appears in the screen after a couple of seconds

In the fonts case, you could take a page outta NoZ's book and just include them in the character's portrait. It would require some work on existing ports, but I think it's manageable. And it would also give you the freedom to shrink or blow-up the fonts to your liking.

Updates & work logs

Now loading image Looking for spin animation code for the center Biohazard center image

Scrolling animation added to vs screen top and bottom bars, Maybe the images of "shock" and "Danger" will flash off and on.

Working on demo version:  It will be character select & watermarked title screen.  I watermarked because at the moment is early on development and i do not want it to be edited by beta testers even before  official release.

Put something all around portraits. I don't know how to explain that, my english sucks. Imagine a building. Your small portraits are the windows, your "Biohazard" picture background is the sky. Do you see windows floating in the sky in normal life? No. They are built with the building. So make your building. Put something all around the small portraits, to make it looks normal and solid.

Anyway you don't have the choice, in fact. It'll always looks really strange if you don't do it.

I cannot add lines to divide the characterts ports because the background will get messed up.. warzone and other screenpacks can do this since the do not have a background with artwork.. if i had a blank canvas or something like the vs screen where the background do not have any artwork then i could do this.  I will work more on the vs screen to see if there anything i could do without changing background.. I really think Biohazard  do not follow the standard screenpack template instead it uses some ideas from others but it also goes for originality.

This is just my opinion, but I honestly think that having a character on the title screen clashes with the rest of the screenpack. The theme seems to be Biohazard, and Wolverine seems out of place on the title screen, even though his colors do blend well with the rest of the images. Maybe you could try putting some nuclear canisters or barrels with the biohazard symbol there instead or something else along those lines. As I said, this is my opinion though.

shulbocka you are right about that maybe i can add the option so you can choose if you want to use other background..for title screen.

update:

More portraits added to title screen character roll right now 10 probably max out at 30 or as many as i need so it does not start at port 1 again. Length of title screen display is about 3:50 minutes before it goes to demo mode.

Well making portrait in the thread will not be possible.. Because you all have taken a direction far away mine. You put on purpose some blur on portraits, and I think this is not a good idea that with 1.1 that allows infinite colors to use blur. So well, I can't use this screenpack.

But you are doing great stuff, men!! This is just not my personal taste! ;)

You do not need to use blur but you need to add the cartoon effect.. I notice some users use too much so i might move away from the blurr effect... I will start a new thread for users who do not like the blurr effect to slowly move away from it.

- You should remove the "Biohazard" word. The red logo means Biohazard, so it's a nonsense to put it twice..
- You should end the characters slot, or fix their design, like that you'll know where you go.
- I don't like the voice. But again, personal tastes. :)

It slowly progress. Good job.

The biohazard word is a separate image so a user can just disable
Not sure if I want to just paste a character slot
Its already in the music and much work went to it so I have to wait for other users that been actively contributing to the project

Not really like because your screepack theme is biohazard-destroyed world so that voice which like a anime girl is not fit for this screenpack. For name font, I'm not really sure..sometimes I see white font better than sometime I see black font is good too...Don't know about that yet.

Okay, already has decide. Put the font name white again because you title font for arcade is white so it will looks well. Also, the rotate fan is black, when the fan rotate behind the font, we can clearly see the font is it in white. I notice that the song you put is the song from Thor 2 trailer right? Is a good choice, I like that song.

Ok Sanji I did not think the voice sounded anime so I will remove, please recommend Right now I'm leaning towards a mortal kombat announcer, the issue is that the announcer does not  say every thing I want then I will need another different announcer making everything clash.

Font will change to white because of the fan

Well basically is because of girls voice. I'm okay with girl announcer but just for this screenpack, I believe the voice that more brutal or gore will fit well. Male voice is great for this I believe, yea sound like MK announcer..or like the new Killer Instinct announcer on XBOne.

That many...I'm okay with it but can you do all this with same voice? That "get ready for the next battle" line, only Tekken announcer cross in my mind

before i was using a voice actor but its hard to find an actor that can do the voice you want.. i will try to find a voice actor that sounds evil.

Don't pressure man, is not like you need to do what exactly I want. Like I said, basically a male voice. You find a male actor, then is done. Pretty sure man can do a bit rougher voice...doesn't need to sound exactly like evil or brutal, just a man voice instead of girl voice. Trust me, this screenpack suit more on male voice rather than girl voice.

update:

Added shake animation..to title screen!  this will be synced with background sound explosion to simulate ground shake after explosion.. it will not loop to frequent  so I'm working in the timing to make it look more real and less disturbing>  Will try to add other effects like a flash after the bomb hits the ground

Intro is ok, I like the Man of Steel final fight theme you use. Only problem for me is the characters roll animation on title screen. Why everytime the characters showed up, the white line is pop-up on the characters? Then for the stage font, I think it's better you change to white color font because all font in the select screen is white so it's kinda clash when you put orange color font.

to intro i will adda little more screens like ratings R, and an actual storyboard that looks exciting
Everything shows up in the character roll because the characters needed a little more cleaning so what i'm trying to do is add a red glow around the characters to help hide this
the font color on the character select will stay orange but i will show you how to change it yourself!!!  I think is time for you to learn some tweeks on how to edit screen pack then make your own

Update:

Bought the software to turn footage into png's, now i can make add background animations sparks,fire, and smoke
Now i need to write a storyboard
Waiting from response from wolverine style voice actor Hopefully he will say yes..

I hope he responds.. I'm also looking for a voice actor that sounds like one and only Stan Lee but this will be for another screenpack which i was working on but paused it to concentrate on this one but now work slowly started again.

Update

Wolverine style voice actor did the work in different voice tones and speeds now I have to find the ones that sound more to what i'm looking for or that would sound closer to what wolverine would sound like to me.

Update:

New voice actor will sound like optimus prime!  he will narrate some lines for storyboard and depending on his work might also be the fight announcer.  Wolverines voice might not be proper as an announcer so i will post both in a video

When you will post the video? Optimus voice is fit for this screenpack to I think. Good choice too. I think it will be better that after this when you update the news here, the update progress is also finish so when you post the update here, you can post the result aswell. By doing that we can see your progress and give more feedback.

One of the issues i have with the winner screen is the shaded area!!!  If i place it in front of the character then the win quote font will be shaded by it  the only solution i can use is making in character port smaller.
