That's a serious problem with our government. That's why I[and other people from our "home"]

That politicans did the most worse LAW in our country story:

[For Brazilians and Portuguese people] : https://br.noticias.yahoo.com/blogs/guy-franco/para-o-bem-das-crian%C3%A7as-inviabilizam-programa%C3%A7%C3%A3o-infantil-120925329.html

The Translation [I used Google Translate and fix some issues]

Quote
A quick stroll broadcast TV and you notice that no station displays more cartoons.

In Brazil, we are fortunate to be able to monitor the emergence of arbitrary laws every week - special issue hardcover every month in the bank nearest you. The law project 5921/2001, which was approved three months ago, brought the ban on advertising aimed at children. Toast, a ballpoint pen and the end of the exhibition of cartoons on TV, that currently have no sponsorship.

The ban is the state assuming the inability to deal with a problem (or a supposed problem), in which valley to demonizing propaganda Barbie. Authorities prefer to ban educated people who make the decisions they deem best for themselves. Teaching, which is good, necas. We are not prepared for a people who think.
Unfortunately, I am not given to repressive regimes. So do not ask me to approve this kind of regulation.

Ban advertising directed toward children is go over the authority of parents, saving their work to educate and limit their freedom of decision. It delegate solutions to a bunch of politicians pançudos with pizza brand under the arms; as if they knew, at a distance, what is best for your child.

For those who can not see deputies in front of me.

And even if advertising were everything they say, the decision of the parents, I think, still worth more than any other institution. Or at least it should be.

In addition to derail programs for children on TV, I lived part of his childhood in the 90s would be virtually impossible under this law. For starters, Monica as we know it today would not exist. Somewhere around 70-90% of the revenues of Mauricio de Sousa Productions come from the licensing of the characters. Permitting that were often sustained the comics. But as the daughter of Mauricio de Sousa said in an interview to O Globo, Monica's Apple will no longer exist because the law does not allow the use of characters on product packaging.

If ever there was an intention of a big studio animation or comics in Brazil, something like that with Disney, Nickelodeon or Studio Ghibli, the possibility, under this law, was buried once arise. We returned twenty houses.

As much as television has changed significantly in recent years, with the migration of public broadcast television to cable TV and internet, this is not the reality of most families in the country. After all, this is a measure that affects mainly those under financial conditions that do not have access to these media.

Does it not occur to the defenders of the law that they also grew up with the children's advertising and not really turned the monster you are painting? Or was it just for turning the monster that now advocate this kind of law? Mystery.

For the children's sake, make it impossible to children's programming on TV prune the characters of the drawings, undertake the emergence and growth of animation studios and comics, etc.. And I swear with the best of intentions.

Well guys, I don't know exactly who you thinks about it, but I can say with very sure:

This action is WORSE enough. The most fucking PATHETIC action from our "Politicans".

Sorry for posting this here, but I want to share this, because some brazilians who don't live more on our country can see this and give some opinions about it.

I want to know what you think guys.

/\ Yeah. That's a fucking big threat because of this law.

The politicans are wanting to create more "Zombies"[AKA: Children without any kind of freedom of expression, alienated and above all, no education, exposed to extreme risk, as they are induced to become pregnant soon, among other things]

The biggest problem is that Brazil STILL is beginning to emerge with animation studios, and other things similar to this. Think about it. Thousands of talented people having to leave their jobs because of this STUPID SHIT-LAW as such.

Prohibit cartoons and children's advertisements, is literally want in fact a dictatorship that has already been feared for years.

Definitely, it is the despair of the current governors of the country that they know that people are unhappy with the "wonderful performance" from these motherf*cker politicians and forcibly want more space in the media, and consequently more PROFIT to handle more policy actions in the country.

What makes me angrier is that had the courage to want to sacrifice the next generation of children for this.

uh no, it means the story is probably fake. when a law like this passes its bound to get some sort of media attention- consider the scope of social media today where tons of information passes by in the blink of an eye and its easy to spread. a law like this which censors free speech would no doubt be a hot topic, especially among twitter where its discussions between the denizens of the world.

Well, i don't know.

I just think about ONE thing if that law are REALLY APPROVED [Some sources afirms YES, that law are approved]:

"How some people after see how RIDICULOUS are that law APPROVED this"

I'm also hoping that this is not real either, however sites in Brazil are already screened this fact. Little a little a lot of people are talking about this and debating about it.

But coming from our "politicans" I won't exclude any possibilities.

This year is an election year for President of the Republic here. Perhaps desperation of the actual entourage, who rules in our nation, that is ruling the country and is taking extreme actions to have more space in the Media? The current president had decreased their approval AND MUCH for certain searches. Especially after the World Cup, which unfortunately left a negative legacy with overbillings, incomplete works, "national" shame [Yes, those 7x1 that deep in my soul I LOVED TO HAVE SEEN] and so on.

But is like Titiln says. Possibilities.

how does banning against cartoon have anything to do with brainwashed people, holy book versions, hating God, and great afterlife ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

about the proposed law against advertizing products toward children, and still having children' programs on tv including cartoons, easy solution, use advertisements geared toward parents which still has something to do with their children yet unappealing for the children themselves during children'  programs, that's what we have here, we never have advs for barbie, hotwheels, turtles, etc, and still we have cartoons and advertisement during the show, of milk, multivitamins, children cough syrup, stuff like that.

There are only cartoons scheduled on Saturday morning on the TV listing for Rede Globo, the largest channel in Brazil. They used to air cartoons from 08:00 am to 12:00 pm during the 80s, 90s and the 00s.
On SBT, another large channel, they air cartoons every week day between 09:00 am and 12:45 pm on weekday and from 07:00 am to 12:45 pm on Saturdays.
Rede Record, another of the large channels, only air cartoons on weekends.

SBT ought to have to drop their cartoon listings if this ruling pass congress, as there will be no advertisement money to back those airing times.

This ruling is actually being discussed, and the way it is affecting things is ridiculous. Monica's gang, one of the widest known child comic books here in Brazil is having to remove their characters from terrible products aimed at children such as fruits... because everyone knows that fruits are evil... *sigh*

We had a similar case with Greece and their "famous" Electronic Game Ban law. Brazil is committing suicide with this. They have animation studios and want to kill a way to generate employment?

God... that's going to be a large blow for Brazil. They're already paying with the World Cup, now this?

This one is pretty easy to read and it doesn't say anything about cartoons.
http://www.consumersinternational.org/news-and-media/news/2014/04/advertising-to-children-now-technically-illegal-in-brazil/

If this is all that's really going on then I agree with the Brazilian government. Advertising to children is a sin. I don't know how it is everywhere else, but it's terrible here in the uuuu-U S A!!!
They shouldn't stop all of it though, like what Bea said with the fruit ads. They should be heavily regulated and restricted to things like fruits, vegetables, jiu-jitsu, reading, writing.

They would never do that here in America though. There's so much money to be made off of these kids.

But without advertisement, and such restrictive rules, there will be no children cartoons being aired on open TV, nor children comic books, since it won't be profitable to do them.

With that, you are pretty much soft banning  them.

Also, the government that has been in power since 2002 is terrible and crashed our economy so hard. Inflation is rampant once more, economy growth is near zero and small business are struggling hard to keep afloat.
They need to be shown the boot HARD this October.

a country with as many problems as brasil has shouldnt be banning an entire class of job creating means.
this pretty much means any cartoon that is created has to subsist without advertizing itself or anything it merchandises for. Which means that you cant have, for instance, a cartoon show that promotes proper eating or a cartoon show that has toys associated.
It just kills the animation industry, who gives a fuck if they use cartoons to make marketing for a bank or a football show.

Of course I am. Got crazier considering it wasn't even Adolf's mission but the Regime turning against him and making him a drug addict. During the later times it was confirmed that Adolf Hitler had one of his top doctors whip up a medicine to "heal" him so to speak. This medicine gave him "happy feelings" and vigor to boot with an addiction as a con. In short: The Doc doped his leader with Heroin.

ANYWHO, yeah, every kid shouldn't be mindless drones. Cartoons in some cases even help them out! Taking away something wonderful as this is like taking candy from a baby and marking the BABY as the thief!
I'm sorry if I'm going a bit too far on this but this is an outrage. This has to stop immediately before serious consequences show up.

Godwin's Law already exists, we're not changing it to Flowrellik's Law.
If you close your eyes, your life a naked truth revealed
Dreams you never lived and scars never healed
In the darkness light will take you to the other side
And find me waiting there, you'll see if you just close your eyes.
If you just close your eyes.
If you just close your eyes.
