It's easily feasible, so it wouldn't be a problem to do that IMO. Or he could add a line in the readme to explain how to remove this feature, it's just a matter of removing some lines of code.

It s great that someone renews those chars and its even greater its done by PotS.

Anyway we all love those chars but we also know they are way too overpowered with their combo ability and those chance of making a Meta Super Special Move out of a regular ssm.Reu may be passed but that, just shouldn't keep ppl from editing/balancing/nerfing them.For me they are in safe hands and no need to worry..just take some brave steps and they will turn out even better then they are now.

k.anyways here are my suggestions

*Tune the mssm chance down.decrease damages.%10 chance is too much for anything.
*alpha counter shouldnt be cancellable into anything.
*it would make much sense if Krizalit wont share colour palette with Ken.So that he can also look more original.It is just decreasing the char's visual quality if u ask me.
*high res effects ?? for flames at least and lightnings ::)  :P
*u know the ryu has a secret super in which multiple punches hits the enemy from everywhere..the symbol that appears  in that screen needs some work honestly..it looks cheap.

sometimes i find them too wide even for alpha sprites..but that may be just me

Alright I'm going to pretend that removing the "sorry mode" isn't the kind of stuff the YouTube community would request to improve their AI videos. ::)

1- As I think I already said, the damage nerf the MSSM's received already made the 10% chance more reasonable
2- I have two options there: leaving them as they are but increasing their cost, or keeping their cost and completely nerfing them.  For the sake of keeping the design of the chars I chose the first one.
3- Will probably do that.
4- That would involve far too many changes to the SFF file, and they already look fine anyway.
5- Dunno, looks fine to me.


I changed the super SF3 kick as suggested earlier, IIRC something that people mentioned in the release thread but that Reu lacked the motivation to change.  The normal version is now the old MSSM, and the MSSM now kicks P2 throughout the stage while lightning strikes him.

you could just have the first one combat friendly and in the def file(like the warmachine at randomselect or legendary ryu) you could put an extremely hard AI version like the regular :)

Yes. He and Reu had this plan back when Reu was still alive.
POTS decided to "update" Reu's chars as the new Mugen came out.

Good luck. You're gonna need it. Although part of me is a little sad that you'll be fixing them... That kinda takes away a little bit of what made them fun as hell.

Well, they'll still have the crazy AI, and POTS is mainly fixing very unbalanced stuff and damage input, rest is almost intact.

It's interesting to note how a bunch of the extra invulnerability in Reu's characters came to be because of Mugen's counterintuitive NotHitBy controller, with stuff that was just meant to go through projectiles going through anything (SCA, AP for you coders).

Currently doing some fixes on DC.  I noticed that the clash system has several unintended negative effects and am considering how to fix it, maybe putting it only in specific moves.

Btw does anyone still have the DC wallpaper?  That'd probably make a nice victory screen for him.  As for the Evil Duo I'd still like some artist to make something kickass for those screens... maybe that could be a contest.

I googled too you know. ;P I think that has like half the real deal's resolution.

Though to be honest I haven't even checked the size standards or if it's possible to do higher res win portraits with Mugen 1.0, so that could end up sufficing.

if im not mistaken he had prepared a wallpaper for evil ryu and ken too, but they were the gba portraits art with edited colours.

I tried both characters....tough as hell to beat....but fun to control....Reu did an excellent job with the custom stances....you have your work cut out for ya POTS...good luck

Just saw this now, haven't even tried the new mugen yet!

Updating these classics? I just hope they still have the same feel, Reu's evil duo is deffo the stuff of legend and the reason most of us are here. I know your just fixing things but I still worry they will lose their feel.
