I really cannot say anything else, it was unexpected that Treyarch would take a turn into the "Futuristic" side.
And didn't Woods die in Black Ops? I'm pretty disappointed as of now but who knows, it might turn out differently.

What do you guys think? Discuss.

I don't know, it looks okay. The vehicles are obviously going to be the main highlight, which I'm not so sure about. One thing's for sure is that they are giving in to Battlefield, because with the inclusion of vehicles like this (Assuming they aren't killstreak bonuses which I'm sure they are not.) the maps are going to be bigger. But for this to work this game has to change Call of Duty's gameplay philosophy. It needs to be less about individuality and more cooperative in general, possibly granting bonuses or making it so being in numbers is a legitimate advantage rather than a liability (They were pretty good about this in World at War). The maps, or some of them will have to be big enough so there can be real firefights, there can't be a million ways to flank like in MW3 and some maps on BO, this game will probably need to be less about constantly moving and more about working as a team.

Of course for basic deathmatch and smaller squad based gameplay the game can play as it did, but the inclusion of vehicles really does mean some changes will have to be in order. The builds you can use should also be limited, nerfed or more diverse. It won't work with people running at inhuman speeds with tac knives and shotguns who can't be spotted with UAV and are impervious to most killstreaks. Treyarch will need to invent new ways to play competitively in order to keep the soul of CoD with all of these changes.

I'm basically through with the Call of Duty series though I just can't help but get excited whenever Treyarch releases their version of the franchise. What I like about Treyarch is that they always try to bring about something fresh and new to the table (like their zombies mode in WaW and the currency system in the original BO multiplayer) and I'm looking forward to what BO2 has in store.

The story is fairly interesting so far and more than just your general war between countries/terrorism that all previous CoDs had. The difference being that your enemies will be technology itself and what happens when you rely too much on it. Though the premise has been done before in other games, it's a really nice change of pace and a welcome addition than your traditional CoD story.

Now I play the waiting game for the Zombies mode.  :ninja:

And didn't Woods die in Black Ops? I'm pretty disappointed as of now but who knows, it might turn out differently.

In one of the emails you get at the computer terminal in the BO1 menu, it states that Frank Woods did survive and was spending his time at a POW camp in Hanoi, Vietnam. How he survived the explosion is still a mystery.

Next-up, Zombies. Zombies will be the co-op mode for the game. The team insinuated that Spec-Ops and Survival will not be included.

For Zombies, there will be a new world and new modes. Lamia says in general, more isn't always better. Except with zombies. Fans always want more ways to play the mode, and Treyarch plans on giving them just that.

For tech heads, this will be the first time Zombies runs in the multiplayer engine. Previous Zombies modes were jury rigged using the campaign engine

Well, I expected Treyarch to ditch Spec-ops and Survival and focus on zombies only since that's their thing.

New modes? I expect variations of the survival mode Zombies was....

Maybe a Zombies Campaign mode?

Treyarch bringing some change to CoD is pretty good. Let's see if they manage to succeed, they have a lot more creativity than Infinity Ward.

i really need to beat Black ops 1 story mode one of these days... as for multiplayer i hope a couple of fictional weapons make the cut, no laser beams of course but it would be a great bone for the devs.

My guess is zombies mode's gonna get way harder. Since co-op will be 8 players instead of 4 you better bet the zombies will be more difficult to kill. The story might take place after the Moon map easter egg. Black Ops 2 might also be coming to the Vita unless they plan on porting the 1st one to it. All I know is hell yeah!! Zombie slaying time for all!

Where did you find info that Zombies is 8 players now?
Besides, I don't think anyone is sane enough to stick with Dempsey, Nikolai, Takio and Richtofen Samantha for very long.

Well I guessed that much already. Personally I like it at 4 players tops. If it is 8 it might be a team based game. Like who can kill more zombies in the time limit or who can survive the longest

"Eight player zombies is more than just a bigger set up, it’s changing the entire game. “There are actually new modes. There’s classic mode that you guys are used to but there are going to be new modes. [Twice as many co-op players] introduces some interesting new gameplay modes. Perhaps you can think of some team game modes where there might be fun to be had?"

Yay more zombies  ::) lol at all the treyarch fanboys
I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.
