MelvanaInChains said, January 10, 2013, 04:19:52 pmahah hell yes, thanks so much for the piotobich sprites, he'll be another addition to my gigantic list of ideasWould cool to see him in mugen MelvanaInChains said, January 10, 2013, 04:19:52 pmoh yeah and what did you scale your animget screens down to, to get the sprites looking like their native sizes? and is there a definite native resolution for these games? because i'm thinking of ripping some sprites of my own (from timeslaughter, to be specific)My Dosbox is always running on 640*480 (I guess thats the smallest resolution possible for dosbox, 320*240 would make things easier though) and then I resize the captures gotten by animget down to a width of 320px automated via photoshop. But in the end you can just rip them from the 640*480 resolution, put them in a sheet and after having the sheet complete changing the size by 50% and then clean afterwards etc blaMelvanaInChains said, January 10, 2013, 04:19:52 pmedit: and piotobich has a third move? okay that i wasn't aware ofYeah, but he only made this move once during recording, in the end its his Jumping Punsh with a invisible projectile that makes dust on the ground or wharever.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm making myself happy too after ripping this stuff.Someone should send this threads link too guys like ngi, descolor or mass, hope those rips will be usefull for their obscure releases!
Hyuck seems to be the only one in those Great Fighter sprite sheets with that "super deformed" sprite.
Roman55 said, January 18, 2013, 05:05:09 pmHyuck seems to be the only one in those Great Fighter sprite sheets with that "super deformed" sprite.BTW thats his loose anim where he shrinks down to that small man.Piotobich looks pretty deformed in his winpose, too (oversized head).
sadly that's the most personality their sprites express in that game. i would've thought hassarn would be as wacky as his portrait would imply but unfortunately not, although i still like the characters in italso neato, shadow fighter. i always forget to try that game out, but i remember 'yurgen' is in it loloh and forgot to tell ya: i may be planning things with some more sprites of yours

Somehow an interesting stpritestyle.MelvanaInChains said, January 18, 2013, 06:22:39 pmalso neato, shadow fighter. i always forget to try that game out, but i remember 'yurgen' is in it lolThe game isn't THAT bad, its kind of playable, but since its an amiga game, you only have one fire button for everything D;And yeah I plan to rip Yurgen too (in normal German the name should be spelled Jürgen), since he is from my Homecountry By the way I still don't get why they fuck up German names so often. Wolfgang Krauser is ok (it kind of a 08/15 name) but nobody in fucking Germany ist named Rophen, Yurgen or Brocken.MelvanaInChains said, January 18, 2013, 06:22:39 pmoh and forgot to tell ya: i may be planning things with some more sprites of yourslooking forward to this
Yurgen has the greatest mustache I've seen in a fighting game character. He's definitely someone I'd like to see someday.(keep forgetting to try his source myself actually....)
Or he can be used to make Final Fights Edi. E I even have the police car from Streets of Rage so he can do his super move from Final Fight Revenge.
Roman55 said, January 19, 2013, 08:07:27 pmHe's definitely someone I'd like to see someday.seconded, mostly because of his odd walking back animation and the fact that he holds his nightstick very strangely in his winposehis 'FIUR' voice clip is pretty great tooalso interesting to see how goofy the strip fighter characters' attacks are
You've missed the standing basic diagonal+firebutton (DF+fire,DB+fire,UF+fire and UB+fire) and even "down+fire while still standing" attacks for your Shadow Fighter rips (yes, Shadow Fighter characters can have up to around 9 standing attacks). As well as crouching "neutral" attacks (attacks that are done by pressing/holding fire and not holding any direction while the character is still in crouching state). (Fortunately for ripping purposes, if pressing a direction and fire just before crouching/jumping is too much of a challenge, you can do a standing basic attack and during that hold a fire button and a direction so the character will later do an apt attack rather than crouch/jump. Simirarly you can do an other crouching basic and during that let go the direction while still holding the fire button to do the crouching attack you've missed.)

I'll try to get the rest of the animations.
