Character testing in FF help

I am trying to make my first character for Mugen in Fighter Factory (using this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=64B2EDE410A3178F), and I have made the sprites for the stance and a punch so far and put them in their proper animation things, but when I go to test it out in Mugen, the character is not there at all. I don't want this to become a brick wall for me so I need some advice on what I should do to fix this, in fact, if anyone wants the files to examine in Fighter Factory, go right ahead and ask. I just need some help.

Thanks.

256 color palette .pcx, the sprite won't show up otherwise.

Ah, I have not thought of that yet. But can it be a 256 color .bmp? I don't have anything to save it as a .pcx

Or since, according to the title, you are using FF currently you could try using the program you are currently using.

OK, so what I need to do is get my sprite sheet, save it as a 256-color pcx in FF or GIMP, then make the palette, then if I were to add some cropped bitmap sprites and set them all up, would it show up?
