Yup. I instinctively picked Omega Red and Snake. But Goku is so goddamned awesome. What beat out Cyanide's pinnacle character was the original spriting that Sean and Balthazar made. If it wasn't for spriting, Cybaster would have won, hands down, off of coding alone.

Ken by JMorphMan is my honorable mention along with Cyanide's Omega Red.

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

Voted Goku Z2 because, well, yeah...
Voted Omega Red, because it's a very nice character and I can only applaud such an effort at coding such a complex character.

Honorable mention to Ken, the character everybody wanted for so long from POTS, and which his spiritual disciple provided perfectly.
But hey, all chars except one are in my roster anyway (and the one I didn't put is just because I don't like the character itself, not its Mugen counterpart).
