I've been playing around quite a bit with inifite's edit of Rajaa's Chun-Li.

I liked what he did with the character, but, I didn't like how mash-friendly she was.  To me, seemed like all you were supposed to do were magic series combos (LMH) launch, do the same thing.

Then, after playing with others, they said the characters I had were too safe.  In fact, it seemed like everything was safe.  Playing by yourself, you might not notice.  Anyway, everything from normals, specials, and supers (certain ones, not all of them) are unsafe on block.

Also, another thing I did was slow down a lot of her attacks.  I think all of her crouching normals except LP are all seriously slowed her standing flip kick (F+6) has been slowed to 55 frames.  It's an overhead, and overheads don't usually string into combos.

Certain attacks can be immediately countered on block, so the next attack will depend on who's is faster.  For example, one of them is the 1st slap in her close medium punch.  If you're fast enough, you can interrupt and strike before the 2nd slap comes, or before she cancels into another attack.

Back dash has been removed.
Some attacks have lower damage values, to make her more reliant on combos.
A lot of the attacks have increased push-back, to help out making her strings more unique.
Head stomp doesn't take away control from the character.
A limiter has been put onto her tenshou kyaku to prevent an infinite combo from happening.  After 3 kicks from that attack, she wont do it anymore.
close MP also cannot be spammed on hit anymore.
MK under certain situations can cause knock down (after a specific series of attacks)  I'll leave that to be discovered.
LK under certain situations will be completely invincible.
F+HK, eventhough it has been slowed down, can still be comboed into.  But, again, I'll leave some things to your surprise.
Certain strings will not work on the wall.
Certain strings only work near the wall, but, not with the enemy's back completely against it.
Light tensho kyaku is unsafe on hit.
Spinning Bird Kick is a charge move.  Cannot be done with QCF+K, or whatever it was.
her air lightning kick wont come out unintentionally while attempting air combos anymore.
Life is 1300.
Washi no hirateuchi has been removed.
Here comes the big one that might upset some people.  You have to have:
2 meters stocked to do a level 1 hyper combo.
4 meters stocked to do a level 2.
5 meters stocked to do a level 3.
Did some minor grammar fixing on the win quotes, and changed a few of them.


I'm doing this to keep hyper combo spam low.  I do that to all the characters I download to make the meter more precious.

And, that's just about everything I can think of.  I wasn't planning on releasing this custom edit of an edit of chun-li, but, there's no reason not to.  One last thing I forgot...

Crouching MK trips. HK doesn't trip anymore.  Her launcher cannot be done by simply pressing D+HK near an enemy (I just ended up doing that kick on accident far too many times).

Lastly, she might have an infinity combo.  It requires very strict timing and I, for the life of me can't get past 2 reps, and it will not work with the enemy's back at the wall anyway.  So, I'm just going to leave it.  If you can manage to pull it off, you deserve whatever you get from it.  It also might not be possible to do past 2 reps because you have tot maintain a certain distance while away from walls.

This was just something I was doing to get more enjoyment out of the character.  I had no plans of doing this with the intention of re-releasing.  I change up things a lot as I play with the character, but, I think I have chun-Li exactly the way I want her and wont be changing up much else.

Yeah I think he himself said that his old chars were kinda unbalanced. But the balancing you did to her feels pretty solid!

Thanks.  It's too bad that there were such imbalances.  The character, apart from the minor infinite combos, and all the attacks being more safe than a ball of cotton is otherwise, best chun-li I've seen.
