Nice start... Some quick feedback.Cool to see the double ice backfire in there. Toasty is in there too. but...Why are the pals so ugly?...and I thought the whole deal with MK1 Reptile was that he combined the moves of Sub Zero & Reptile, so why is the moveset bound to his stance?Throw alignment looks off.b+x should throw p2 to the back, f+x in front of Reptile. There is no need for Reptile to gain any power, cause he has no super/hypers...
I haven't really tested this character yet but...@Staub,Reptile, as he appears in MK1 Arcade and consoles is supposed to have Scorpion and Subzero's moves only. He didn't get his own moveset until later in MK2, but I guess it would be a nice addition to this if sprited well.I'll make sure to test this tonight.
Thanks for your Feedback.Staubhold said, July 05, 2011, 10:26:54 pmWhy are the pals so ugly?Agreed, it's not my best work and it's on my to do list.Staubhold said, July 05, 2011, 10:26:54 pm...and I thought the whole deal with MK1 Reptile was that he combined the moves of Sub Zero & Reptile, so why is the moveset bound to his stance?I did this, because in MK1 thats what he would do if managed to fight him:if he walked like Scorpion, he would do the Spear and Teleport-Punchif he walked like Sub-Zero, he would do the Ice Shot and Slideand he would change his stance during fightStaubhold said, July 05, 2011, 10:26:54 pmThrow alignment looks off.b+x should throw p2 to the back, f+x in front of Reptile. That's how it was in the Arcade. If you pushed F+Punch in front of your opponent, you would throw your opponent back. I think you couldn't even throw your opponent to the front, only to the back. I just added the front throw to give you a little more possibilities to position your enemy.Staubhold said, July 05, 2011, 10:26:54 pmThere is no need for Reptile to gain any power, cause he has no super/hypers...Oh, that's only still in, cause I had thought of giving my chars super moves. But since my MK Project has become so big, I dropped this idea for now. I just didn't remove the powergain yet because this is not such a big issue.MaxBeta said, July 05, 2011, 11:10:37 pmI haven't really tested this character yet but...@Staub,Reptile, as he appears in MK1 Arcade and consoles is supposed to have Scorpion and Subzero's moves only. So I thought why should I do another Reptile with MK2 Moveset, when no one has done a MK1 Reptile. Maybe when I have finished my Project, I will come back to my first idea.
welp for the freeze ball if you do it over and over again fast enough it can cut off the animation repeatedlythat's all i got for now

Classic MK1 Reptile with full access to his moves, without stance activation...Scratcher said, July 05, 2011, 11:16:08 pmI did this, because in MK1 thats what he would do if managed to fight him:if he walked like Scorpion, he would do the Spear and Teleport-Punchif he walked like Sub-Zero, he would do the Ice Shot and Slideand he would change his stance during fightYou´re sure about that?I think it depends on the version you played... SNES version had him randomly change his stance, still he had at any time full access to the Sub-Zero/Scorpion moves...
Mortal Kombat characters worry me now lol... Coincidently i just won an online match with reptile in his mk1 outfit in the new mortal kombat xD Well, time to try this baby out...
Thanks for all your feedback.Staubhold said, July 05, 2011, 11:40:30 pmYou´re sure about that?I think it depends on the version you played... I made a little Fix. He now has access to all moves, while his stance will change randomly on his own. I also fixed the little problem with his Ice Shot. Thanks to MelvanaInChains to point that out. Here is an Update (extract the 3 files in this rar into the Reptile folder and overwrite the old one)Reptile Update
Crap, wish I had downloaded the version before the "fix." I love the idea of switching stances to switch move sets, makes it more strategic, in my opinion. I'm all for accuracy, but I'm also for ingenuity. Oh, well. Thanks for the Reptile.
it would be nice if his moves werent bound to his stance. you should make it (2) selectable modes, normal and ex for moves not being bound to stance.

Wow man. Fantastic release. Reminds me of my days as a youngin' being obsessed with MK. I like how accurate you are to the Arcade version of Reptile. This makes me look forward to future releases you have in store.

hurricane2s said, July 07, 2011, 06:04:10 amWhy does Reptile need Sub-zero's moves? It just makes no sense. Read this to know why. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reptile_(Mortal_Kombat)
I might be the only one with this problem, but I can't get around your site.No links to a "chars" section show up anywhere.
Good idea indeed! I may try him but I just simply use "Omegapsycho's" Shang Tsung and morph into Reptile whenever I want to use him...he seems to be dead on as well.Tell you what though...if you included even more bonus content than already in Omegapsycho's version of Shang Tsung (Ability to morph into all MK1 characters and do all specials + fatalities, PLUS Reptile, Ermac, AND Goro, AND maybe even other Ninjas such as Noob Saibot, Smoke and Rain)...then that really would be the ultimate MK Character.
