i made a new move for kfm and got the sprites to show up this was the first thing i have created for mugen :D, but i had to paste the new sprites i made over the origanal sprites for kfm in order to get the palette right. I am wanting to start making a character(batman) right now but it
would be a pain in the ass to have to paste all the sprites over the kfm sprites is the any other way of ensuring that the sprites are in 256 colors or what ever is required for the sprites made from gimp to show up in mugen
go ahead and run!!! there's nowwhere in the world you can hide when it's my world!!

Just make sure the sprites are saved in bmp, and then make a new palette for the new character.
I guess that's all you needed to know?

Look, there's hundreds of tutorials on this, it's the same question you were asking before. Get a proper!!!! imaging program, and run through a tutorial. This is only difficult to do once, the more you ask about it and worry about getting it wrong the harder it will be.

You'll have to get it wrong a lot before you actually get it right. However once you get it right, you'll probably remember.

Go try, then try again, and after you've done that, try some more.

Hey oz you say that all the sprites need to be saved in bmp but my kfm's
sprites are saved as pcx files, but when i use pcx sprites they don't show up so what do you save the sprites as to get them to show up in mugen. Also you people say that you tube isn't a good place to find tutorials for mugen, what would be a good place to find them

They have to be PCX. Fighter Factory can use BMP, but there's no reason for that. Just use 8-bit PCX sprites (8-bit <=> paletted with 256 colors)
As for the tutorials - just look around in this forum. Questions like that have been asked tons of times and answered tons of times. There also are some sites with clear enough tutorials (Google is your friend, it's not that hard), not to mention the docs that came with Mugen. Youtube isn't a good/serious reference because anyone can put whatever they want no matter how screwed up it turns out to be.

I would more be questioning what tutorials you've been using so far. Try the first tutorial on my webpage. After that, try the one in your mugen docs folder. After THAT you may go to youtube and figure out what works for you.
