I realeased this cvs version of aof mr.karate by Fred. I've converted the sprites in cvs style and added some extra sprites ripped by me (170 and 900 clusters).Basically I keeped the old coding I just added some cvs effects like dust and charging anim, the sound is been update. He lacks of a good AI and I he has some problem with pal selector due to original sprites I guess. Otherwise I did this protoptype version https://www.sendspace.com/file/fnlilo
Those are some good sprites, although I can't help but think that you could've done some changes to some of the original animations to animate and flow more smoothly-- specifically the stand animation, and both walking animations.
I'm planning to edit some extra sprites for some animations required in cvs game like dodge , rolling on the ground and others lil stuff I'm currentely dealing with ryo xiii running sprites
These sprites look pretty nice, some animations are a bit stiff but it looks good overally. However this character needs better coding. Sincerely ,these beautiful pixels deserve much more love.
Suggestion:You should probably upload this on mediafire or something because sendspace files are only there for about 30 days before they get removed.
Anyway:-CLSNs look weird and seem like they could be scaled incorrectly. They would probably work if Mr. Karate were bigger.-For a character with CvS in the title. It doesn't really play/feel like the first one to me.-His animations look choppy to me, that and his attacks are way too fast. This is also really strange. Like REALLY strange. Pose and everything.I think that's all for now.Edit: I forgot about the hitsparks. There are better ones than just this:
That reminds me, the aerial strong kick from this character is actually in Art of Fighting... although from what I recall, it's literally only usable when you jump over the opponent, and is no way meant to be one of the main aerial attacks. Had it been used through a command like a. B+HK in here, it would've been far more acceptable. And yes, the original Mr. Karate actually had much bigger sprites, but demongorne didn't really get to edit the CLSN hitboxes yet, hence the ridiculous difference.

You know, I'd love to see hi-res effect versions of the AoF projectiles as well, but hi-res effects isn't really something I know how to do.
