give her striders spot on main roster (strider can still be DLC later on)

Kind of, it doesn't have the vertical overlap or the slot gaps.

I like what you have going on currently
I think I'll pass on this because it wont feel right
Control wise when selecting chars.

I think I'll pass on this because it wont feel right
Control wise when selecting chars.
Aha, this post reminded me why I didn't pursue the style.

Here's the grid with all of the unused cells blocked out, see the problem?

Now, even then you could still probably pull this off by designing the char select directly into the ports but then you'll be missing out on a few elements like cursor and such and it's an unneeded amount of extra work.

Roger that, the original plan is better to go with. I love that design simple and stylish for the game. Send me the files when ready, so I can get started.

You're the one doing the 1.0 conversion? cool yeah I'll shoot you a PM tonight maybe, there's some design elements that aren't ready yet and won't be ready until later on in development.

Yeah, 1.0 or 1.1 is no problem for me. I will leave the 1.1 to you, since you clearly have better graphic skills. Over this old fox.lol Send me what you can when you can, when ready for coding. Keep it rocking and looking forward to working on it.

Also do you guys know who was working on this game I think it was someone by the name of Nestor ?

Wonder if he still has the sprites and characters from this project.

They were working on Regina , Leon S.Kennedy Fiona and Hewie

AFAIK, those characters were being made solely for the full-game. They were planning on releasing them as well to the public, but I think only later on.

Memo could try and get in touch with Nestor and his team, and ask to use the sprites. SeanAltly did that with Leon for the first CvTW.

He never had Leon in Cvtw, ive only seen that Chris Redfield
And his animations were super choppy

Best way to make this method work is setting "moveoveremptyboxes = 1" in the screenpack, and draw the cursors à la Guilty Gear XX/Smash Bros.

But it disadvantages the idea of secret chars, etc.

So ive been tweaking P.o.t.S COUNTER! system (statedef 8290) , I added a
6 tick pause, FX, sound FX, and a white flash and removed pots counter fx.
Gives back a bit of super power 250.

Those simple changes to the counter system has changed gameplay a bit lol
Shit I just realized the importance of this gameplay mechanic..
And these things I did are just experiments in reverting back so I can brainstorm
a good system that rewards you for counters and gives you slight perks
Like maybe a 1 or +2 added to recovery or extra power / life added,
moveset change during counter pause for a unique attack?

Any ideas? Post them

about counter system or general? In general I would really like to see Drive Cancels in this,to increase combo potential.

Right now just the counter system, but drive cancels sound interesting too.
But I would do it without a extra meter and allow it among the EX attacks
So you can choose to use a critical art or try to combo 3 EX attacks.
